If you don't want to take a lot of cash, is there a way to get money at the casino cages ? Such as using a bank debit card ? I know there are ATM's but they charge you.

Asking for my brother who just can't understand why they quit the old traveler check thing ! LOL Thanks !

Go to the El Cortez (downtown). Use their ATM. Go to the cage & get 10% of the amount ATM'd as free play on your card.
($500 withdrawal gets you $50 in free slot play, way more than you paid for the ATM fees).

    It's 5% now still good.

Also you can do it once with no play after that you must earn 1500 pts to be able to do it.

I always use the ATM at either the main airport or the rental center. Wells Fargo which I can use for no fee.

Bank of America has an ATM on the 4th floor of the M&M store between MGM and Planet Hollywood.

Some banks still sell travelers checks and you can cash those at the cage. May have to do a little searching for ones that still provide the service, but they are out there.

    Just as an example:
    https://www.americanexpress.com/us/content/prepaid/travelers-cheques.html

But it also begs to ask, what is a lot of cash? If it's just a couple of thousand, that's pretty secure on your person in large bills or do some research on the cheaper ATMs (though the time and effort spent going to these ATMs might not be worth just using one at CVS or Walgreens). But, if you are talking tens of thousands, then wiring the money to the casino or setting yourself up for casino credit might be better.

You can stick them up. :wink2:
Open a line of credit. Fill out the application and include the amount.
When you arrive you go the cage and ask for $X amount.

    *EDIT*

Forget everything below. Here's a link to all Credit Union ATM's on the strip.

    https://co-opcreditunions.org/locator/search-results/?loctype=A&zip=89109

This is a good thread for me to ask about Credit Union ATM's on the strip or downtown.

I have my $$$ at a credit union and I can use any ATM that is owned by a credit union for free. I do not anticipate using the ATM at all but I have had to in the past and the fee at MGM was about $7 if I remember right (which I probably don't.)

Does anybody know where there are credit union ATM's on the strip or downtown?

First, carrying a thousand or two is no big deal. As long as you take the sign off you forehead (the one that says - Rob Me, I have more money than normal)

Next, as terrible as an ATM fee is, paying $6 to get $1000 just about anywhere, any time is a pretty small deal. Less than one more hand of BJ.
