Which CET buffet for dinner? Pay to upgrade for Caesars?

We had the Buffet of Buffets before and tried all the different CET buffets on the strip within the 24hr period.
None really impressed us, but the Caesars buffet was pretty good which we got via some other free deal. The only downside, there is an extra fee to us these buffet passes at Caesar's buffet.

Normally we would do the Paris breakfast buffet as that is actually very good and the only buffet we have visited a few times, but we are looking specifically at the dinner buffet this trip.

If the feedback is adamant that CET dinner buffets in general stink and paying to upgrade for Caesars is the safest bet than I have no problems doing so. Just checking to see what is the general consensus.

When you buy that 24 hr pass, the purpose is lots of food for cheap. So I'd stick with the buffets that you don't have to pay extra for.

I personally put the Paris buffet behind rio and Planet Hollywood, so our tastes seem to differ.

I would have to agree. The general consensus about the PH buffet is that its terrible and their desserts which are assorted cupcakes were stale. When we did the 24 hour pass and ate here the reviews were spot on even about the cupcakes.
Granted this was about 2 years ago so not sure if anything has changed since then.

Caesars better be a big improvement over the others asking for a $30 dinner upcharge (as does the Rio Seafood offering). I wouldn't pay the upgrade. What I might do, presuming you are in Vegas longer than a weekend, is to go seperately outside of BoB.
Caesars' breakfast offering runs $31 and their lunch $37. This is less than the $15 and $25 extra they ask for those particular dining option upgrades.

Paris has a great breakfast buffet. It has slipped over the past few years but still worth it IMHO. I generally prefer Spice Market at PH for the later meals. The regular Rio buffet is decent but I wouldnt go out of my way. I WOULD go out of my way to avoid both the Flamingo and Harrah's buffets.

lasvegasadvisor.com has a coupon package which includes $10 (for up to 2 people) for Caesar's breakfast and for Spice Market anytime, plus 2-for-1 buffets at Cosmo and Mirage, not to mention over 100 other show, buffet and gambling coupon offers.

I was not happy with the PH buffet and haven't been to the Paris buffet since it was taken over by CET.

If I don't feel like eating at the Bacchanal (Caesars), I would go over to the Rio for the seafood buffet.

I'm not an MQ (Mass Quantities) eater anymore.

Same here. I used to frequent the buffets but have gone less and less every year. The prices have increased, and for the same price, you can get a meal that'll fill you up at a decent restaurant (add $ for alcoholic drinks). My past couple of trips, I've visited the PHo and Paris buffets. Wasn't impressed with their selections at all.

We enjoy Planet Hollywood for breakfast, have a very good omelet cooker with lots of ingredients (they have different veggies, bacon, and other things underneath the display in the refrigerator. For dinner we do Bacchanal but only so often as it is hard to watch people eat 3 or 4 plates of desert................Rick

I was planning on going to Rio to try the seafood buffet on my next visit. Do you guys think it's worth the money?

I definitely do not recommend the Rio seafood buffet.

And I will respectfully disagree. I have a review (well, more of a description) in the restaurant section.

I found it very enjoyable if:

    1)You like seafood
2)You want to try various preparations of seafood
3)You like MQ (Mass Quantities) of seafood
4)It is comfortably within your budget.

It isn't $30 per person upgrade for caesars or Rio. That is per couple $15 person

That's why I put #4 in there. Note that there is NO seafood at the Rio buffet if you don't take the upgrade (maybe some shrimp).

    Bacchanal is worth the upgrade

i used to be the guy who had to eat at a buffet in vegas on every trip
    not so much now
but if i did want to eat at a buffet, i'd choose Bacchanal over everything else
