Slots Why aren't there any sports themed slots?

I know professional sports leagues will never allow real teams or logos to be used but why aren't there baseball or football or hockey themed slots?

Because those punters are in the Sports Book and aren't interested in slots (IN GENERAL!!!). Have a look at the main themes of the slots and it will quickly become clear on the target audience demographic.

Professional sports don't want to be directly affiliated with any type of gambling. not a good look. It would be an easier sell if pro athletes are in there but they won't sell the license for this. Without the pro athletes it might not be too appealing maybe.

I met Ron Jeremy once walking thru a casino, I asked him "why, with the Elvis slots and the Sinatra slots, etc....why isn't there a Ron Jeremy/Hedgehog Slot? The Pull Arm could even be a replica of his claim to fame."

He laughed heartily and said "that would be awesome, but I think, like stamps, you have to be dead before they can put you on one."

    Probably my favorite Vegas story.

They could make a Cleveland Browns slot. They're dead.

I used to enjoy a football themed one I think it was called tailgate party. Fun bonus games.

LOL, the one frame of the lady drinking BBQ sauce out of the bottle just kills me! I haven't seen that one for several years now. :)

like i said, "directly" - their excuse is so that the other team and the media know but we all know it's for betting. They don't want their players associated with gambling on their games. I remember years ago when Tony Romo was supposed to host a Fantasy Football draft in vegas, the NFL pretty much shut it down. But I agree, gambling and fantasy are both big parts of the NFL's popularity. They just dont want a scandal of players fixing games.

See, I'd actually play up on that and make one that's just barely removed enough from pro sports as to not infringe on any trademarks.

Then, when someone involved with the actual pro sport would inevitably complain about them, I'd make a big deal about this being, "The slot that they tried to ban" or "the slot they don't want you to play" or something like that - great free publicity.

There are some horse racing slots and I recall a cartoonish football slot years ago that i never played. There is nothing stopping them from making sports slots that are not directly connected to the pro leagues. But personally, I don't see myself playing them

Just remembered that there used to be a carousel of NASCAR themed slot machines at MSS many years ago...not sure if they're still there. You could pick your favourite driver and his image would be the wild symbol. Fun, but never won a thing on them...

I was just thinking NASCAR........the fanbase is sort of gender equal, it doean't appear they care at all about gambling affiliations, and NASCAR will sell the rights to stick their logos on anything.

You could have some sort of bonus round with a big spin and pick the driver to come out of the smoke or something.

Anybody know if the ones Sallymander saw are still there ?

I do admit that ElCo still has a fairly good assortment of the vintage IGT video slots, as do a few more of the downtown places.
