MyVegas FYI, I redeemed a Circus Circus buffet reward while in Circus Circus.

We happened to be in Circus Circus and I decided to try to redeem a reward while there. I opened my phone app and collected the Circus buffet, had it emailed to me, opened the email and the Players desk redeemed it.

I didn't think the location services allowed myvegas to be redeemed while in vegas..

 

Typically it won't. Though I was reading about how someone was in one part of a hotel and the location services showed he was in Vegas and wouldn't show some rewards, but, when he was back in his room, all of the rewards showed up. I'm assuming his phone must have got an IP address from somewhere that wasn't linked to Nevada.

 

Not all rewards are blacked out while in Vegas... just most of the good ones.

 

How was the buffet?

 

I never have my location services on on my phone or tablet so I can always see all the rewards. My friend had her location services on and saw hardly anything. Once we turned it off, everything was available.

 

Most things aren't available, but we were able to redeem Cirque shows while in Vegas. Even the day of.

 

Well it WAS Circus Circus we're talking about here. There are some not-terrible comps they'll still issue while you're in town. I picked up 48th and Crepe from NYNY. But generally speaking, if we're talking freebies, not really gonna happen. You might get some lower level buffets like Luxor/Excalibur, maybe even Monte Carlo. Chances would increase a little more if you want a BOGO somewhere.

 

Not so great... But we had to take our guests there to see the place. Can't be sure how much longer that will be here.
