I enjoy the VP there as well, play for hours in there sometimes when I stay at Tuscany.

The Tuscany does not have full pay DB (Double Bonus). Full pay has a 10/7 pay table and has a return of 100.17%. The Tuscany has a 9/7 pay table. which drops the return to 99.11%. Tuscany's BP is 8/5 (99.17%) and DDB is 9/6 (98.98%).

You can do much better at other off-strip properties, such as Gold Coast, South Point, Palms, etc. They all have NSUD, which has a 99.73% return. When you add in the value of the slot club points earned while playing, the return approaches or exceeds 100%.

If you're adding in slot club points, you have to do that for the Tuscany as well. They have one of the most liberal slot clubs in town and you'll earn cash back as well as comps when playing their machines. Over the last 7-8 years, I've probably claimed $15-20K worth of food, rooms, massages, and items from their gift shop. All this and I don't even consider myself a big player at the property.

I'm not complaining about the Tuscany. They have a very good slot club. Their comps and cash back are above average. But to approach a 100% return, one needs to play ONLY on their 6x points days (usually 2 days a week) and put a high value on their comp dollars. The gift shop is pretty expensive but the staff will special order products for you. When I used to play there, before I got no-mailed, I would order boxes of cigars. The mailers to locals were also pretty good.

The purpose of my post was to correct the statement made by another poster that they have full pay Double Bonus VP.

Don the Dentist- May i ask why u got no mailed? I have been having that happen to me at stations. Flagged in system I lost $62,000 plus the last 9 years. Never had a winning year

I have played at Tuscany before. But it's been a few years. The host said they don't comp rooms. Has this changed?

It is hard to pinpoint exactly why one gets no-mailed from various casinos. At the Tuscany, the wife and I always played the $1 airport deuces. All winnings of $1,000 (i.e. four 2's) or more were a hand pay...which may have triggered a recognition by the management staff. We only played on 6x point days or other promotional days...another red flag. The key to playing at Tuscany is/was the value of the mailers. Locals got $100 a week in free play. Coin-in needed to get this level was way too low...around $25K per month. Do the math...

Being a local, I'm not sure about comping hotel rooms...never asked.

Don The Dentist- thanks for the reply. A few years back i would get that $100 a week. But didn't play anywhere near $25,000 in for the month. Of course i always lost though. One time i had a $1200 on slot. They cut off mailers since that win. So bad marketing

If they don't like people taking advantage of point multipliers they shouldn't offer em.

Thanks for the room reply. I always wondered. Since i almost always lose. I want something for my loss. The host gave me $30 i think to eat. Big deal.

I find Tuscany a bit staid and boring. Nice, clean place, though.
