    My Trip Report

Thanks for the countless times of entertainment with all the TRs. I've decided to give back and after 13 years of the Vegas peasant life (it's a good life) I'm also going to try to get to CET diamond [emoji184]

Wife and I are heading down tonight, here is our main itinerary (in order):

    - Top of the world restaurant at Stratosphere . I love night views, and I hear they have great steaks. We are taking my aunt and uncle, who is boothing (is this a word?) at CES.

    - Wake up early and head to VP at PH to attempt DIAD. I've been going and staying at CET properties every year since 21 and also envious of people at [emoji184] check in, [emoji184] lounge, no waits etc. So I'm going for it! Will try to live report it [emoji4] here's the bankroll:
    IMG_20170107_094734.jpg

    - CES. Have been going for about 7 years now, this trip was actually a last minute thing because uncle is showing off his brushless motor (no idea about this stuff). But will try to post some of the cool TVs and tech that I feel out on

    - Happy hour. Thinking of getting a couple 5cent beers at Flamingo (where we are staying). What's the worse that can happen? [emoji38]

    - Breakfast. Wife loves French food, taking her and aunt/uncle to Mon Ami Gabi Monday morning before they take off!

Hope to achieve everything on the list so I can provide more TRs back to the community. Especially the DIAD... If not, NEVER GAMBLING AGAIN (lol who believes me?)

You may want to check, but I thought the easiest way to diamond was to play 2500 pts in one day and get the 5000 pt bonus. Then to repeat the following day.

+1 What Smerrian said (pick the lowest volatility VP you can find -- may be dollar JoB?) and, most important, regardless of DIAD, have a great time!

you may want to check out "quest" and earn points that way too

Yeah, I would definitely do the "quest" to help the cause. 25 Tier at each of the Vegas properties will add 2250 Tier to your score. Those tier points probably won't be added until April though.

As for the VP to play lower variance is preferred.

The highest return and highest variance option I would suggest is the 8/5 Bonus dollar machines at Rio for full points.

Next, 9/5 JoB for quarters in PHo high limit. It's a 100 play but you don't have to bet every line to bet 5 per line.

Next 6/5 Bonus for 50 play pennies or 2c at PHo. Return isn't great but all those hands will help smooth variance out if you want to succeed.

But if you really want to do DIAD at PHo, I probably recommend the 9/5 JoB quarters. You'll need to play 40,000 max bet hands to pull it off in one day (5000 base + 10000 bonus). Any lower denomination will take too long.

I would certainly evaluate your standing at the 1000 and 2500 TC marks before trying to tackle it all in one day. Also if you plan to play multiple days anyway, do 2500 TC each to get to diamond.

    Good luck!

i think I'd target 2500/day over two days mostly on the 9/5 JoB in PHo's HL room. Being able to bet multi line at 25c lets you get coin in pretty quickly and play a lot of of hands smooth out the variance

    Waiting for the flight now.

Will give me plenty of time to go over everyone's advice - thanks a lot btw!
I think I'll try to find the dstp 9/5 JoB I read about but take your guys advice and see how I am doing after 2500 TC.

Thanks for all the luck and good vibes so far!

Noooo!!!! DSTP is crack!!!!!!! Stay away, leave those machines to the poor addicts like @Riders and me....

Seriously, while it increases the return it does drive up the variance, @tringlomane could tell you the math, but it "feels like" DSTP has a significantly higher risk of ruin, but it does have more of a rush! If you're really playing to build points, play the best return at the lowest variance you can find. The 9/5 JoB games in PH are the best going for this IMHO.

Yeah, that's another option too. Should be in high limit there on the All star II games. But it's definitely the high variance route since it's dollars, and it's more swingy than standard Double Double Bonus.

But I love Double STP porn, so would love to see multiplied quads and royals head your way!
Haha, yes playing DSTP will up risk of ruin, but damn it is fun when you hit. I wouldn't doubt if the risk of ruin was over double the 9/5 JoB quarter game for the roughly same amount wagered per deal. (e.g. 3 DSTP dollar hands vs. 17 quarter hands)

I need the crack (dstp) then!! I think I'll do it and hope for all the 10X's, it's high variance but I don't have much time to do it and it's the one I've been practicing :)

Already playing cards in the plane.

Note to travellers, please don't bring and play a harmonica on a plane... People be trying to sleep!

    Finally here :)

Checking in with $20 sandwich attempt then off to stratosphere soon.

For some reason I'm having trouble posting (thinks I'm spam).. will post pictures later

Speaking from experience of doing DIAD twice...stick with two days of 2500TC on the $1 single line 8/5 Bonus Poker at Rio.
Otherwise your RoR SKYROCKETS...and I didn't count your money but I hope you brought $5000

Lucky dragon from last night. As others have mentioned, super small casino but the staff was quite nice.

The rooms were pretty nice too, quite modern and they thought out the electrical outlet situation (right by the bed, USB slot). The windows are tinted so heavily you can't really tell the difference btw night and day... Pretty clever
