Headed back to LV in a couple of weeks and I'd like to get some input from you folks.

I always treat myself to one really good, fine dining meal during each trip. The last several trips have included:

    é by Jose Andrés (Cosmopolitan)
L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon (MGM Grand)
    Michael Mina (Bellagio)
    Joël Robuchon (MGM Grand)

What would you recommend for my upcoming trip based on your personal experience? I've got some ideas but I'd love to hear from others.

You seem to be stationed near mid-strip, so I'd probably go with Alize at the Palms.

Venetian and Wyncore have many fine dining choices. Take a look there.

Per my question - Which ones have you been to, what did you like about them, what dishes did you try, etc.?

Since you're going to stay there, how about Eiffel Tower Restaurant? I hear Le Cirque at Bellagio is good. It's been a while since I've been there, but I liked Red Square at Mandalay. Maybe because of the vodka flights.

Yeah, that might be it. I remember going in there once. I don't remember leaving too clearly, but .....

I would go to Robuchon again. I've tried most of the different fine dining places on the Strip and Robuchon is still the best

-- I've considered that. My memory of the meal probably exceeds the reality at this point. I'd hate to burst my own bubble. They've also jacked the prices up on the wine pairings to crazy levels. There's 3 - $295, $595 and $995!! So I'm looking elsewhere this trip.

If you think you might want to try Alize then check if Travelzoo has a tasting menu deal. :feedme:

If you're dining with someone, Giada's for the tasting menu (minimum of two).

For seafood, Emeril's at MGM Grand, the seafood platter is a meal in and of itself.

My favorite French restaurant is Bouchon at Venetian . . I had the roast leg of lamb.

At Gordon Ramsay Steak, the bone marrow is wonderful, and the rib eye to die for.

For lunch, try Julian Serrano's (corrected) at Aria. The tapas are very good.

I have reviews with pictures on all of these in the Restaurant section.

I'm not really a wine drinker, so I never get the pairings. And now my bank account thanks me for that!

Thanks for all of these. I think you conflated Jose Andres & Julian Serrano, but no biggie. Speaking of which - How would you compare / contrast Serrano @ Aria with Jaleo @ Cosmo, if you've been both places.

If money is no object, then go for a dry aged steak at Carnevino at Palazzo

The rib cap at GR steak (Paris) is one of the best I've had. Can't beat the stick toffee pudding dessert. (pro tip, don't get salad, you won't have room!)
Carbone (Aria) is exceptional for Italian. The meatballs are not on the printed menu, but they are a must. The Caesar salad is also very, very good.
Morimoto (MGM) is also top notch.

There's really no comparison. Julian Serrano is the better option by far. Jaleo has, I think, a few more options these days, but the quality of the plates at JS is superior. The only area where Jaleo may have an edge is that their desserts are a tad better. The only complaint I have about JS (and its a back handed complaint) is that I wish they did not change their menu. I like that they add new options frequently, but I wish they would bring back some of their older plates (like the raspberry tuna skewers)

Thx. The bone in ribeye is up there, but there are a couple of less spendy options worthy of consideration.

Thanks very much. I've had my eye on Morimoto since it opened.

Thanks. Serrano will definitely go on my list for another night.
