    My Trip Report

We got a Bayview room compted last night except I got hung up on my pt gig and didnt get there till 6pm. usually get there earlier ,so they gave us the Marina Tower. Wanted the remodled room
    at Bayview but too bad.
Went for happy hour at M&S big burger and fries for $5 great deal.
Only thing, they forgot to put the meat in the burger when they brought it out, laughable.
So we went to the x bar played some VP,a couple of drinks won a few bucks and headed over to the Eden.
Not much of a band ,two guys mrs. ,a giant fan watched the game and got more loud and obnoxus as they lost .
Alcohol can do that to people. The final act of drunken stupidity was when some Eagle fans on the other side of the bar started cheering at the end of the game and she stood up and yelled f-you.to them.
So it's time to call it a night.
Mrs. hit 4 -2's so at least that calmed her down briefly.at halftime.
Next morning got up got some food at the deli and played for an hour or so,still doing ok.
Checked out and drove over to Caesars, and walked the boardwalk down to the Irish Pub. They really decorate that beautifully. Was sunny and warm out beautiful day for a walk. Played a bit at the Toga bar then drove home.

We were down last Thursday and Friday nights. In a Marina room. Nice room. No complaints for free. Got pretty trashed at the x bar. They taking some of our platinum perks away. No more platinum buffet line, no more platinum check in line.

M&S always screws something up. We gave up on that place.

Thanks. lol. Harrah's-AC is my local hang out but I eat at the diamond lounge or the buffet. I almost never hit the restaurants and if I do (maybe twice a year?) it's usually Martorano's. I've never been to McCormick and Schmick's. Ate at the one in Las Vegas once and found it mediocre for what I was paying. But, the happy hour special sounds good.

Happens on about 10% of my visits at our local McDonald's drive-thru.
Before I pull away from the pick-up window I unwrap the burger to verify it has meat in there.

Well, I do order a plain hamburger.
But then I should end up with just the meat and not the bun then. o_O

Thanks for the write-up, JG! Merry Christmas to you and the entire JG clan!

Thanks for the report JG, I will have to check out the X bar next time and also McCormick and Schmicks for happy hour. As for the missus, tell her to remind opposing fans about the 4 Giants Super Bowl wins.

Heading Harrahs a c in 8 days. First time there in 5/6 years. First time to diamond lounge also. Was impressed with diamond lounges at both Ballys and Ceasars last summer. Can't you give me some insight into Harrahs diamond lounge?

I find the food better at Harrah's diamond lounge. There is no 'great' view like at Caesars and Bally's. The best deal is if you like foo-foo drinks (pina colada, dirty banana, frozen daiquiris or frozen mudslides)...all good. Also, the coffee at CZR locations in AC is absolutely horrible. But, surprise surprise, the cappuccino is absolutely delicious! Just the opposite at Borgata (great coffee, lousy cappuccino). Remember that you can take any drink to go...or two. :)

I love Harrah's AC, but haven't won a dollar there, ever! Caesar's on the other hand has graciously given me $4k throughout my gambling there in 2016. Despite gambling losses, X Bar and the general casino vibe at Harrah's is amazing and is why I still frequent it -- very reminiscent of pH in Vegas actually. I was dismayed to find that the Harrah's in Vegas was so crappy by comparison. Martorano's, Dos Caminos, and Sammy D's are my go to restaurants.

Yep, it's my go to in AC. I've stayed there at least 5 or 6 times within the last two years). I've recently begun trying to migrate to Caesar's as I prefer to gamble there (call it superstition since I seem to always hit there).

She actually had me change our resrvation at Caesars from Sun(her b-day) to fri. because the Giants are playing at 4:30 pm and b-day dinner at the Chart House would interfer with that.

Waterfront is the best, Bayview has been recently renovated (some rooms) and the marina tower is okay. I did get a Marina Luxury room once when I checked in (wasn't on the site) and that's a really good room.

I don't agree. The Waterfront is the newest of the 5 towers at Harrah's-AC and the rooms are nice. The Bayview Tower is the second newest tower. While the Waterfront rooms are slightly larger than the Bayview rooms, they got them larger by making the bathrooms smaller. Whereas you don't really notice the slight largess of the room, you do notice the bathroom being much smaller. I like spending my morning cleaning up rituals in luxury at Harrah's-AC and always go for a Bayview Tower room with it's really great marble bathroom. Sometimes I take bath salts and have a nice soak in the large tub...something the Waterfront rooms don't have. On a side note, if you like a tropical pool, don't forget your bathing suit. The pool is a giant terrarium...and it's awesome.
