Maybe those tables aren't going anywhere, but those dang slot machines keep calling my name.

Discipline the first day is not my strong suit

Being a true degen gambler when I first arrive I cant get a beer in my hand an a seat at the tables fast enough. Just to break that ice and all that build-up waiting for the trip to arrive. I only get to go to Vegas once a year, maybe every other year so Im like a kid on Christmas or Charlie Sheen in a crack house when I first arrive. I try to be more conservative with my money on day 1 knowing I have 3-4 more days and plenty of time to gamble but I let the table and my luck determine if I stay conservative or get aggressive. The funny thing with luck is its random, it doesn't know if you've been in Vegas 1 hour or 1 year when she shows her face you have to be ready to take advantage of it. If it happens to be the first day then I better bet accordingly, this might be the only luck I have all trip.

Me too. I also know that what money is left over gets rolled into the next day. The more money saved makes for a wild last day/night.

When I get to vegas I instantly get smashed then go on a full coupon run downtown. I bet max on slots with my freeplay as well as play the $25 matches through LVA coupon book (normall a $10/15 bj player). After I run through all of that I then go back into normal gamble mode which is $1 bet on any penny slot I feel good about and $10 BJ tables. With the coupon runs I usually "hope" to be somewhere in the +$50 range from where I started and if not I have not really spent anything from my original bankroll. Of course if I do a $25 matchplay and get some splits/doubles things can go either way but combined with the slot plays it works out somewhere in the 92.4% range in my favor.... and I'm in full vegas mode.
