Paris Buffet

Going to spend some time at Paris Hotel in February, have never spent significant time there. Regarding their buffet: 1) How is it? Relative to Caesars particularly. 2) Do they offer one price for all day access to buffet deals? 3) If you are staying at the hotel do they throw you some free buffets as part of having a room there?

Paris buffet is average at best. Bacchanal at Caesars is light years better, but much more expensive. Go next door to Planet Hollywood and eat there instead for about the same price. Often you can get a coupon for PH buffet at the Total Rewards counter as well. As far as free buffets, those days are long gone. Basically everything is based on your reward credits, $5 coin in for 1 RC, or $10 coin in on video poker. You're going to need about 2,000 RC's to "pay" for one buffet. Caesar's offers a 24-hour rate for most of their buffets for $49.99. I think if you choose Bacchanal or the Seafood buffet at Rio, there is an upcharge.

 

I would do PH before Paris but Paris is good.

 

Paris has one of my favorite breakfast buffets at any casino, but I'd agree to go to PH for lunch/dinner, between the two. Keep an eye out on Groupon for deals. I never did the PH one they always have, but I have done the Caesars one that after an additional Groupon discount ended up being a two for one cost, which was great.

 

I think their breakfast buffet is good. Nice crepe station, solid overall selection. Cool atmosphere/decor.

I also like that you can make reservations on OpenTable. One of the only buffets where you can do this to avoid the wait.

 

In my not so humble opinion, one of the better on the center Strip. Good variety and well-prepared for buffet food.

Cheaper than Caesars and, in my not so humble opinion, a much better value.

The one time (the one and ONLY time, past, present, and future) we did the Buffet Of Buffets, yes, it was included and no surcharge.

LOL, probably if you find the right person and ask "Pretty Please" very nicely.

 

I've only stayed at Paris twice (Oct and Dec 2016). Previous trips to LV has had me at south strip properties most frequently. I tried the lunch and dinner buffets on the first trip and was extremely underwhelmed with the food. As an example, the peel and eat shrimp were soggy/mushy. This is a sign of frozen shrimp that has been carelessly thawed and not sufficiently drained. It's not a health hazard, but it's not appetizing. The other entrees I tried were all "meh". Meats were fully cooked but lacked seasoning. Everything meant to be hot was lukewarm.

I'm probably a bit picky because I like to cook, but I'm no chef.

I had lunch at the nearby Yong Kang Street Noodle Bar right next door and had a bowl of Ramen that kicked the ass end out of anything at the buffet.... and cost less.

 

Think the buffet of buffets at CET went up from the quoted 49.99....think earlier this year it may have been 64.99 or in that range. Has gone up almost every year...

 

The buffet (Lunch/Dinner) at Paris is pretty much the standard Vegas buffet. Not over the top, good food, end of story.

We're not buffet people, so our assessment is based on the buffet being comped by Total Rewards. As for breakfast - there was always a line. Not sure what they have that warrants standing in line, so someone else can speak to that.

 

Yes, the line for the Paris buffet can be nasty at times.
The crepes are the big draw for some but it's otherwise it's a basic breakfast buffet but better prepared than most.

 

Thank you everyone. Good info. Does anyone know if you purchase an all day buffet pass if you still goes by wrist band or if they just put it on your TR card or app or something? The wrist bands always seemed awkward.

 

If you have a players card then you don't need the wrist band.

Haven't tried the Paris buffet, but I don't agree with folks recommending PH buffet. It sucked big time, last time I ate there.

I just keep getting free buffets via MyVegas, so haven't ventured into paying for a buffet for the last couple of years. However, Paris buffet is something I wanna try sometime.

 

Just to make sure you are aware its not an all day pass but a 24 hour pass, so you can easily fit 4 meals on it. best value money wise is to use it for dinner then breakfast, lunch, dinner. They put it on your card and you can eat at Paris, Ph, Harrahs,and Flamingo. Prices do go up on weekend.

I bought mine a thursday night so i was able to get it at regular price, no wrist band they put it on your card

Its a very good buffet, PH is awful (for my taste) unless you go for breakfast

 

We should say if we are talking about breakfast or dinner. I've never done a dinner buffet so whenever I talk about a buffet I've been to it's always breakfast and Paris and PH were both good with PH just a little better.

 

It was on our respective TR cards.

 

I like the Paris breakfast buffet esp for breakfast and lunch. Love the crepes! Still worth waiting in line for. Great atmosphere. Also appreciate PH Spice Market, seemingly never a line except for prime dinner times. PH offers discounts both in AmericanCasinoGuide and LasVegasAdvisor coupon packages ranging from 25-50%. Rio is pretty good also.

When you buy Buffet if Buffets the 24 hours starts the moment you purchase. Not the first tinecyou actually use it. Price is now nearly $60 weekdays and more on weekends, plus upcharges for Bacchanal and Rio Seafood if you choose to go there.

 

Rio Buffet has slipped over the last year or so, IMAO of course.

They explained this very clearly when we got them at the Flamingo Buffet one morning. They also emphasized that you must be at the cashier before the time runs out, not just waiting on line. We came an hour earlier for breakfast at the Flamingo the next day to be sure.

 

For a couple more bucks (I think $27 pre-tax) you can walk an extra 500 yards and have a much better BRUNCH buffet at Cosmo. Blows away Paris although Paris was my usual go-to before Cosmo popped up.
