several times, took weeks, one trip a few days before the actual flight.. with it happening to me 5 different times the price went up from about $85 up to $1000 over and they tried to ask me to switch to a cheaper flight or different airline, I told them the price was "x amount" I ask to book on this day, and I always screen shot the final price, every time they covered the overage

This is probably the busiest time for booking 7 star trips because they have to be booked by Dec.31 or supposedly 30 days in advance of your trip.
One property told me they switched to Orbitz and another property that booked it said they still use Passport.

I had host book mine in August for middle of October and it took over a week to hear back from Passport. It just so happened in that case the price of flight went down so it worked out.

    Good luck!!!

1 or 2 weeks is normal for my host to give me a confirmation number for my airfare. I'm using my 7 Star trip for Vegas New Years and it's been over a week that my host received my email.

Yep. I have a couple of horror stories, including missing out on getting a RT First Class Airfare that was $599 one way on VA but by the time they got around to booking, I want to say at least a week later, the fare was more than doubled so I wound up doing coach one way and crappy first class, really business class, the other way and on two different airlines, neither of which was VA. I'm not a FC snob but I do enjoy it when I can and the Seven Stars trip is the time I can do it, if the travel folks don't take forever to book. I would much rather pay the money out of pocket and just get reimbursed, even if it takes a while, than use their current system, which is so slow. I mean, it's not complicated so I don't get why it takes forever. I work for a large company that uses a travel service and tickets are booked almost immediately.

    Best way to avoid delays:

    Send the following:

    Full names
Full TR number, with the word Total Rewards before the number.
Freq Flyer number with the NAME of airline. (DL could mean drivers Lic or Delta)
    Full date of birth
    Exact flight number
Exact city of departure with full date

    Do not leave anything out.

I definitely included everything in the email and texted my host to make sure he got it. Crossing my fingers! Is it safe to assume someone from the travel agency will call me for my cc number for the overages on the flights? or will I have ot go between them and the host?

even giving them all the info up front, its passport who drags ass...as for the CC, if they dont have it on file already, your host will get it from you and you can pay the overage with that or reward points...overage from there side because of going slow, as I said, make them cover it

The last few times my host just told me to book it and bring the receipt and he will reimburse me. It works well cause I show him my receipt in Canadian dollars and always reimburses me in US dollars. But last time I didn't even have to show my receipt he just gave me the full $1200 US.

I thought the benefit was coach up to $1200 for two. Are you saying it could be for 1st class?

    Thanks,

Yes the credit can be used however you choose. In this case the (2) tickets were around $1600 total, I only had to pay the difference

depends on the host booking also, southwest doesnt have 1st class so it doesnt pertain to me but I have heard of some host that wont book 1st class so the people book their own flight then have the casino reimburse them up to $1200

That is good to know as we normally don't use the full amount and I wasn't aware you could book your own and get reimbursed.
