The $1 progressive for one suit was over $11,000 recently. Someone hit it between October and December.

Thanks. Happened near the end of the trip so I didn't have time to play it back in.

    Very nice hit. Congrats!

@tringlomane I've played those machines, just need someone to give some tips on strategy.

Well, the strategy is dependent on the Royal value for whatever suit you're chasing. The biggest change is typically whether you play high pair or 3 to a royal. Ranges have been rounded a bit for ease and flush straight penalties have been ignored.

If the royal is $1000-$1100, use standard 8/5 JoB strategy, which is very close to 9/6 JoB.

If the royal is $1100-$1250, KQJ and QJT suited is better than a high pair.

If the royal is $1250-$1375, 3 to a royal is better than a high pair, EXCEPT AKT, AQT, and AJT.

If the royal is $1375+, 3 to a Royal better than all high pairs.

If the royal is $1400+, AT suited is better than Ace only.

If the royal is $2000+, AT suited is better than Ace and Face.

If the royal is $2500+, KQJ and QJT suited is better than two pair.

If the royal is $2640+, 3 to a royal is better than two pair EXCEPT AKT, AQT, and AJT.

If the royal is $2775+, 3 to a royal is better than all two pair.

If the royal is $2852.50+, KQJT suited is better than a King high straight flush.

Not exhaustive of course, but a good guide.

But, unless you insist on playing JoB on the bartops at 4 Queens, I wouldn't generally suggest this game. The state of the machine shown in the OP is only 98.67% since 8/5 is sorta rough for JoB. 9/6 DDB or 9/7/5 DB or Airport Deuces all with progressives are better bartop games there. Also the variance of this game in the pictured state is 58.2, which is definitely higher than 4 Queens progressive DDB game in every state I have seen pictures of. The meters on the 9/6 DDB game aren't super fast.

When I was at 4 Q in early Sept, one of the dollar progressives (spades?) was sitting at $13k+. Two of the quarters were north of $2200 as well.
