Although I am not a Vegas novice, I am a Vegas novice when it comes to staying at more upscale places on the Strip. Usually a Ballys/Flamingo etc type of guy. That being said, I booked 4 comped nights April 16-20 in the Studio | King | Pool View | In the end, about $140 with resort fees.

Wynncore sent me a offer (Winter Getaway offer) for the same week, $129 per night Sun-Thurs (will choose the Encore Resort Suite) which includes "three days of complimentary passes to The Buffet for two when you stay three or more nights in a Wynn Deluxe Resort Room at the following rates."

My questions, all though I should call them directly to confirm:

    1. I imagine I can choose any room they offer me and I will still get the buffet passes? they offer 4 room types.
    2. I can use these passes for B,L, or D.

I figured I would stay the first 2 days at the Flamingo and the next 3 at Encore in order to qualify for the buffets and also to get the max time at Wynn instead of staying there.

Just not sure if anyone has used a similar promo and had any problems/experience with the questions above

    Thanks in advance,

    MDM

What you will find with Wynn/Encore is that you really only have 2 rooms. 1) Wynn 2)Encore. The panoramic rooms are the higher floors (usually with an upcharge). If you stay on the Encore side, ask for a room facing the Wynn tower, or you end up with a view of an empty lot and I believe Desert Inn Road. The Encore rooms are large with a big screen TV that acts as a divider between the living and bedrooms. You will not be disappointed staying there except for the drink service in the Encore casino. We stayed there over Labor Day weekend and there was only 1-2 CW for that side. Drink wait time was upwards of 30 minutes.

To answer OP's questions, I believe both are YES.

Yes you can choose from their options based on availability. Yes you will get the buffet passes..
(When you book, depending on dates, if you ask if there is a free upgrade available (higher floor, view) they will do it at booking, or ask when checking in, we have gotten free upgrades twice. If for some reason the Encore isn't available, you will not be disappointed in a Wynn room - spacious and well appointed with a luxurious feel, panoramic rooms are a real treat.. We've stayed at both and actually prefer the rooms at Wynn over the Encore 'suite' plus we like stepping right out of the elevator to the main casino floor).

Yes we were able to use ours for lunch and dinner - (didn't do breakfast).

Let us know how it works out and best of luck on your stay!

I would love to stay at Wynn/Encore except that part of my Vegas experience involves getting drinks while playing at the bar and they dont participate in that. Its a darn shame

I'd even be happy if they had .25 VP at the bars and I'll buy my own. But the minimum I saw at bars was $1, and no comp as you said.

Woah! Glad I read this thread. No free VP drink service is a shame. I guess they don't want people crowding their bars

Wynn (south) facing rooms at Encore have to deal with nightclub noise on the weekends. And elevation - in my experience - doesn't matter. The bass finds its way up to even the 61st floor. I always ask for a north facing room.

(Obviously, if you never go to sleep before dawn or only stay on weeknights this isn't going to be an issue.)

I certainly don't want to steer anyone away from Encore - I'm a big fan - but I MUCH prefer Wynn. Better location, better casino, better restaurants, no noise concerns...just my 2ยข.
