Another thread about downtown cocktail servers got me thinking. Do you care what your cocktail server looks like?

I may look up when I order, so that I can remember who my server was when they return. But as long as they are efficient, professional, and dressed so that I can recognize that their job is to serve cocktails, I don't care what they look like. I don't care what their gender is either. I just want my drink.

    Is it just me?

I don't care. I do notice when the costumes aren't flattering on the servers but that makes me question the casino's judgment. The service end of it is more important to me than the appearance of the server. I've seen too many pretty ones blow through whole sections without managing to take a drink order and I am sure they do home later complaining about their lack of tips.

I do like "nice scenery" (as mentioned above), but it's far more important to me that they be friendly and of course, reasonably quick on the draw.

No. In that Downtown CW thread I posted my favorite is a heavy set woman who struggles because she waddles. She's not the usual "stereotype" of CW one envisions in relation to the glamour and glitz of Vegas but she gets the job done in a friendly and efficient way.

I do appreciate beautiful women and enjoy being served by them but if they are snotty and conceited and not friendly and welcoming they stop being beautiful real fast.

I enjoy being around friendly, unpretentious people. Man, Woman, or other.

I was surprised that Parx Casino in PA had several servers who put the cock in cocktail.

I'm not so hung up about looks because pretty does not always translate to good service. A positive attitude and classy demeanor last longer. A nice smile and good luck goes a long way.

Most are not memorable, but about a year before it closed I was served by a mature cocktail waitress at the Riviera. She wore heels and had a blonde bouffant hairdo right out of an Annette Funicello/Frankie Avalon movie. A classy broad probably worked there for years.

Nope. Don't care what she looks like. Hate to say it, but more often than not, I can't honestly say I've done more than hand her a chip.

I really don't care about the physical or cosmetic appearance of cocktail waitresses.
I pretty much stopped using cocktail waitress service about 2 trips ago.
My last Vegas trip = 1 round of drinks from a cocktail waitress in 5 days.

And it's not that I don't want to have cocktail service....
    1.) Erratic/Lack of cocktail service
2.) Crappy drinks/allowed drinks (5 ounces in plastic cup = no thanks)

I like the one's with the schlong...in fact, I barely notice the CW if they are schlong-deficient. Chisled jaw and bright eyes helps, too. :wiggle:

The answer is not really, much rather have some homely but very quick one, than some beauty that takes her sweet time.

The CWs at Parx are the best looking of any casino I've been to. Both the men and women at Parx and they all work very hard.

For those of you that care about looks, you might want to avoid Harrahs Reno, since the slot attendants double as drink servers. They are all nice and professional, but wearing slot attendant uniforms. Many of them are guys. I think that the DO have one or two actual cocktail waitress in the pit at night.

cocktail servers still exist in Vegas casinos? who knew...

but seriously, I don't think their appearance matters much, especially since interaction with them is so minimal, hopefully they have a good work ethic

now the party pit dealers on the other hand, give me a gal with really nice eyes and really nice... scenery and I'm staying at their table for awhile

The best looking cocktail waitress is always the one with rum and coke on her tray.
