I was dealt a 100-line Royal Flush at South Point. But I was only playing 1 cent per hand. So I believe it paid a measly $125 total for 100 Royal Flushes.... Playing 100-play or 50-play VP machines, I think I've only gotten 1 Royal total. And some of the attempts I held 3 or 4 to the Royal. You'd think it'd come up more than once in the probably 300-400 times I've had 4 to the Royal...

Regardless of the math odds, dealt royals really aren't all that unusual. My wife just got another one last night! We play 75% TDB, 20% SDB and 5% BDlx. Of course, quad A's w/k on TDB pay the same as a royal. I had just been dealt those A's w/k on dollar this weekend again. I looked at the screen and didn't understand why it hadn't locked up. Well, it was because a few hands earlier I had done my rotation off of TDB to SDB so I won $800 instead of $4,000. UGH!

I've been lucky with that this year. I've had 2 dealt on TP quarters, and 1 on 3 play UltX.
Guess I should stick with triple play. lol

The only time I've been dealt a royal was when I was practicing on the computer, and I play a lot of video poker. That was about 8 years ago. I don't think it'll ever happen when I'm in the casino lol

Years ago at the Windsor Casino in Canada, I was sitting next to a woman who was dealt one. What made her royal somewhat unique was the machine she won on. You paid something extra for each hand, BUT this allowed you to be dealt that exact same hand a second time if you wanted. They came over to hand pay her for the first royal, I then watched as she played the hand again and got paid a second time. Really neat.
I don't remember the name of the game, but I never saw it in the States. Looked for it on a few return trips to Windsor, but never found it again. Wish they would bring it back cause it was a fun machine.

Sounds like Deal/Draw poker..you get paid on your Dealt hands, plus whatever you can draw...a DEALT Royal on that game pays HUGE...

Yeah, I was trying to figure out that game. The way it was described also sounds interesting to me. Replaying good deal hands fully with a standard paytable also sounds fun.

One member I met from videopoker.com got the dealt royal on the bottom line on deal/draw poker for triple play dollars for a cool $72k ($60k deal + $12k draw). We could only dream!

No, it was not Deal/Draw poker nor the older parent Double/Pay Poker. I have played Deal/Draw at various LV casinos.

In the game they had at Windsor Casino, you could bet from 1-5 coins as in traditional poker. You could then make a one coin extra bet which activated a special button that would light up.
You were then dealt 5 cards and allowed to draw. Then paid for that hand if you won.
At the end of that hand, win or lose, the lighted button you activated with the extra coin stayed lit. If you hit that button, you would be charged the same exact bet that you just made, from 1-5 coins. You would be again dealt the same first 5 cards, BUT the draw cards would be different this hand. If you did not hit the lighted button, you began a new bet sequence.

For example, if you were initially dealt 3 kings along with a ten and a jack you would logically throw away the ten and jack. You may or may not improve on the draw. You were then credited for the win. If you had paid the extra coin at the start of the hand, you could then again choose to be dealt those 3 kings with the ten and jack in the same positions. BUT, the second DRAW would be random and not related to the first DRAW. So in this case, you would win on both hands with at least trip kings, however one hand could pay more than the other based on the 2 different draws you had. You could only choose to have that first hand repeated once for that extra coin you bet. Of course if you had been dealt a junk hand, as most are, you would not hit the lighted button, but would just make another complete bet. This game made being DEALT 4 to the royal more special cause you now had two shots at it.
This is as best as I can remember it. It was close to 20 years ago.

My dealt royal was at Green Valley Ranch on our last day in Vegas for that trip. Connie was out at the pool and I was playing til time to head to the airport. The cards came up and I couldn't figure out why the "held" sign above each was coming on, until I saw what I was dealt. It was on a progressive machine, but the progress was only about $1045. Quite a shock.

It wasn’t another dealt royal last week but it was as close as you come to it. I held a K of spades and it filled in on the draw. Playing TDB this week, I was dealt an ace quad w/k which pays the same as a royal. As I think I had mentioned earlier in this thread, I see or hear of dealt somethings on a regular basis. I think it’s just a matter of how much VP one plays.

"A lot" of video poker is a relative term. If you play millions of hands over the years, your likelihood of getting a royal dealt is very high. What's the saying, it will never happen, until it does.

Of my eight Royals, none of them were dealt to me without having to draw.

We visited our HR yesterday afternoon. A lady sitting next to my wife was playing dollar TDB. About an hour into her play, she was dealt a royal flush for $4K. It’s the only machine left there I think that goes into the Camp town tune. I miss that. The dollar progressive on DDB was approaching $5,000 by the time we left.
