    My Trip Report

    Hi everyone,

arrived in Vegas with my wife a few hours ago for my "big" birthday trip (Dec 12 will be my 50th)

Trip from Switzerland with BA via LHR in Club World was good as always, nice cabin crew, landed nearly on time. Uber XL due to our golf bags to PH quick and easy, got the room I asked my host for, the nice and new Ultra Hip Fountain View
5 nights comped then over to Cosmo for 4 comped nights, both with some freeplay on top.

Will try to add some food and slot pics during my updates.

Will have a rental car from Monday to get out to some nice golf courses, see some shows and a heli Red Rock and strip flight with 702 helicopters later this week.

    Targets for gambling are clear:
reach TR Diamond for the first time, so far Platinum for some years but not many tier points are missing
Reach Cosmo Gold for the first time, Sterling last 3 years, also not many points to go
Maybe renew MLife Pearl, but that can wait for my next trip Easter 17 as Points are reset to zero and I stay Pearl to Sep 17 anyhow.

Todays first gambling session went just OK, made 1000 TR tier points for my 1000 bonus and just lost 2-300, not too bad

    Some pics of slot wins
    [IMG]
Gremlins gave me several jackpot wins today, that was the best

Buffalo with a nice bonus hit

New Big Bang Theory bonus win

More to come tomorrow, or better say later today as it is already 5.30 in the morning now

Presume it was a 747 direct from LHR to LAS? I've been thinking of taking that journey.

Good luck. At least the CHF to USD conversion is super-easy.

Yes, love the Club World seats on the upper deck, plenty of space and a quiet cabin. And relative often good rates when you accept to take connections via CPH or DUB etc.

Need to start my second gambling day now, only had golf and food so far :)
Durango Hills Golf is always a good and easy start when you haven't played for some time. Our home season in Switzerland is over for nearly 2 months now.

Happy Birthday and great hits. My brother played all day on a Buffalo Stampede machine at Planet Hollywood in September. I had to drag him away that night.

Just a quick update. Lost some money last night but made it to my first target. Reached TR Diamond now and will pick up my new card in a few minutes and have a look at the diamond lounge to see what I get for all the dollars I lost ;-)
BLT steak is up for my birthday dinner and Bali Hai for Golf tomorrow morning, then the heli RedRock flight in the afternoon

Another busy day coming up, love it as usual

Thanks for all the nice replies, had wonderful birthday besides losing at every single slot I tried.
    Now some pictures
    [IMG]
Durango Hills golf, good for a quick round, as most holes are Par 3 just a few Par 4.

Tried Jamm's for breakfast after I saw it in TV, can only highly recommend trying it if you don' t mind driving 20 minutes from the strip.

    Good food and excellent service

This is from BLT Steak where we used the Travelzoo voucher again, you get 208 dollar free chooce from the menue for the 115 you pay.
Steak Tartare was quite unusual, big hand sliced pieces of meat
    [IMG]
    Very good filet steak
    [IMG]
And the very tasty Smores cheesecake with chocolate ice cream

This is Bali Hai Golf obviously
    [IMG]
Very quiet with a tee time at 7.30

After slots worked out so bad we tried a low rolling day, so 100 dollar win for 75 cents bet did not feel bad at all :)

Ted had a nice bonus as well, all in all we won a little at least yesterday

Chicken Parmesan at Grand Lux was really excellent and huge

    Nice sandwich as well

Today we see Nathan Burton and ToK and will gamble a bit more for sure...

Thanks for the golf pics. What did you think of Bali Hai? I've always felt it's overpriced for what you get. Driving a few miles you can find as good/better courses for less.

I think it is an optical nice course but price is a bit high, you are right
Any recommendation for us if the view and scenery is most important?

if you want any kind of 'view', the courses in Henderson, behind and above the M casino are the ones to play. We've played both of the Revere courses. Each has dramatic elevation changes and can be quite challenging.

To a lesser extent, the Summerlin courses (near Red Rock casino) also have a Strip view. They include the TPC Las Vegas which, if you can get on for a fair price, is a nice track. Others in the area will give the same sort of view.

    Hope that helps.
