Hello vmb! I have a terrace studio for late February - Yay! I didn't feel like paying extra for a fountain view, as I've done that already. What exactly does one see if you have a terrace with an unspecified view? Could it be that bad? It's a surprisingly hard image to google - I just keep getting images of the fountains. I'm sure I will love it even if it is a non-view. Well maybe not a brick wall, but I'm ok with highway, mountains, Rio, Polo towers etc. I'm really just in this for the terrace itself. Thanks in advance!

You'll see mostly the City Center complex of Aria, Veer and Mandarin Oriental. If you can get in the East tower, you'll have a bit better view of the strip. You will also be able to see the pools if you look straight down. It's certainly not a bad view like a brick wall or A/C units.

Usually a view of the Aria. One time I was in the east tower facing Planet Hollywood. That was a great view.

Stayed at Cosmo 4 times. Twice had the Harmon view and twice the Planet Hollywood view. Neither were too bad at all.

I stared at a giant Britney Spears and she stared right back at me. She was on the side of Planet Hollywood. It was a nice view of the strip overall though

OK great, thanks for the replies! I feel like I've seen the fountain view so many times that it's burnt into my memory! Looking forward to seeing what I do get when the day comes!

I called the other day to see how much it would cost to upgrade my comp to a fountain view, it was like $140 for three nights. I passed on the offer

Take binoculars. They could improve any view.

The view towards Aria side is just fine, you will really enjoy it either way!

    Fountain view is amazing.

Otherwise, you get a view of the strip from the front of the eastside tower. Actually kind of fun.

Or, you get a view of Citycenter across Harmon.

I loved the view of the fountains, but don't get too high a floor or they seem flat.

The low floor view of the strip from the eastside tower was fun because it felt like you were part of the excitement on the strip.

We were there last weekend and had a room in the East tower, 17th floor, not far from the elevator. Our view was similar to the one thecarve posted but he was further back next up higher. We could see the people ice skating at the boulevard pool and overlooked where they were giving you your skates. Our view wasn't bad at all!

    Happy birthday to me!

I was on the 13th floor Eastside last month. Great view of the fountains but the view was ruined by being level with the Bellagio sign! You definitely need to be another 4 or 5 floors higher to get the full effect.

I'm currently sitting on the balcony of the East Tower with city view, and I love it. Great view of Aria, MGM, Veer Towers, and Mandarin Orient . City Center is beautiful at night too. You can even see the fountain at Aria from our room. Personally, I prefer the city view to Strip view because it's quieter. Planet Hollywood is LOUD.

We have a three night comped trip in a terrace one bedroom in the east tower January 3rd. Not to belittle the fountain view (which I will ask about), I don't think I would mind a City view.

We faced Aria/MC and had NO problem with the view. I actually enjoyed the Aria sign from the terrace. :)

For me the biggie isn't which way you're facing, but how high up you are. A low-floor fountain view can be worse than a non-fountain view (imo).

Personally, I've never had a complaint about any of our views from Cosmo...every room/view has been stellar.

Enjoy, and have a great trip!
