Had no problem charging to my Vdara room from other MGM properties during my stay in November.
At the bottom of your guest check there will be a line to enter your room number followed by a list of all of the Mlife property options
(Aria, Bellagio, Circus, Excalibur, Luxor, Mandalay Bay, MGM Grand, Mirage, Monte Carlo, NY NY, Signature, and Vdara.
Just indicate, by check mark, which property that you're staying at, and then sign your name.

    Yes 100%

On a side note, you can also charge to your Vdara or Aria room from Mandarin Bar at the Mandarin Oriental. It's not part of MGM.so no tier credits earned but still nice to just charge it to the room and hash it out later.

I just returned from a stay at VDara and yes you definitely can. When a server asks you if you would like it to be a room charge, just let them know you are staying at Vdara or they will assume you are staying at the property the restaurant is located in.
