Hearing "We Three Kings" at Four Queens would've been sweet! But then the fourth queen would've been lonely...

My question is about flying out of Vegas right before Christmas. It there a normal exodus or is it extra-busy with people trying to get home for the holiday? I know the weather at destinations and connecting cities at that time could affect travel and cause the airport to be unusually more crowded. But, should I plan on longer lines at TSA, etc. just because it's Christmas?

Nothing to judge. Some of us are alone while surrounded by people. Have a wonderful time.

I've spent Christmas in Las Vegas pretty much every other year since 2001. In 2001 it was empty (obvious reasons). For the next few times we went it was fairly but not too busy - but last few years has been very crowded.

Virtually no shows are dark these days and all the restaurants are open.

I'd make a reservation somewhere for Christmas day and avoid all the buffets unless you want to join in the utter madness of waiting in line for 3 hours. We usually go to Wynn Country Club for Christmas day lunch. Have to walk past the buffet line to get there - the people waiting when we go for lunch are still waiting when we walk back!

I can think of a few scenarios that would prevent this.

This will be my 11th Christmas (actually it's pre-Christmas) trip... Half of those trips have been solo - after 3 or 4 days of Vegas fun I'm ready to face the relatives when I come home on the 23rd or 24th.... honestly there's something about this time of year in Vegas that I love, the music, the decorations, the food, the gambling..... sometimes you NEED Vegas - I'm at that point now!
