Free room at Aria + free flight + 2 free buffets = I'm going for one solo night of debauchery.

I land really early on day one and leave at 6pm day two. so what should I do?? So far this is all I got:

    1. Enjoy the peace and quiet of aria room without wife or kids
    2. Blackjack with the ladies of golden gate, the D, maybe Planet Hollywood
    3. MSS house brews and video poker
    4. Was thinking of hitting twin peaks, tilted kilt type place but I can do those at home so not sure.
    5. do the el Co atm credit thingy (do they still do that?)

I like beer, blackjack, and boobs. Preferably all at the same time but not a requirement.

    Give me suggestions, please!

What's your fun budget look like? Beer can be cheap if you have the bank roll to play and if you role right the boobs will come for free just to see what the "Boss" look like (though if the wrong ones come along they will expect a cut in the end).

EL CO, yes they still do that, but reluctantly. if you are a regular player there and have X amount of points in the previous month you will be fine. if you are a non-local, you have to explain to them that you don't live in vegas and hence would not have earned any points in the previous month. after giving you a little lecture they usually approve it.

If the el Co ATM credit thing means five percent free play for using the ATM, then yes. Curious what vegasdev is referring to. The girls at Binion's are fairly easy on the eye. I am usually so heads down playing bar top VP that I promised myself I would take a seat at one of the outdoor bars on Fremont. The weather might work against you, but I sat down outside Golden Nugget for thirty minutes of people watching and actually paid for a beer.

Shop at the ABC STORE to buy your wife and kids some Hawaiian chocolate candies to take home. You can also buy some snacks and drinks for your fancy hotel room and watch the T.V. news of Vegas that has lots of drama. lol. Lucy

I would tighten your orbit - you don't want to waste a lot of time using transportation.

A lot of the MLife property waitresses generally seem to show a lot of cleavage with their uniforms, so I'd dine and drink wherever they have good beer and $10 blackjack nearby Aria. Not sure what the Cosmpolitan - Bond/go-go dancer situation is, but there are always beautiful people there.

Planet Ho is fairly close so I wouldn't rule that out. Anything further (like El Co) well you could lose an hour ....AN HOUR IN VEGAS!

When I have short trips I try to plan a few well defined, special things - consume a certain drink from a certain place, see a show, eat a certain dessert. Keeps things focused.

Good Luck and keep us posted!

Well, I'm here. aria will text me when the room is ready. Was able to sleep a little on the flight. Got my two free buffets loaded to my mlife card. Right now I'm sitting in Ellis Island waiting for my steak and egg special. then I'll drink one of their beers at the bar and ponder my next move.

There is a Twin Peaks at the corner of Harmon and the strip which has really cold beer. Always good stop for a couple of cold ones. I agree going downtown would be a waste of time.

Good call with the EI steak and eggs.

You can bet on football games for the weekend, and mail in your winning tickets to get paid.

It's not everyone's thing but when I have time to myself, I like going to the spa and decompressing with a steam. I would also hit 5 or 6 casinos for a coupon run with my ACG book, something my wife has absolutely zero interest in. Then spend the resto of my time playing low-limit poker until it is time to go.

Hopefully you don't plan on sleeping. Don't waste anytime in your room, and have a great trip.

Sorry, I didn't do a live report. But when I have time I'll write up a summary. I ended up staying an extra night. Was a good time and will definitely do a solo trip again now that the precedent is set with my wife.

So after the steak and egg special (quite good, btw) I walked over to Casino royale and had a couple cheap beers and watched soccer. It was only about 10am at this point and the table games weren’t even open! Apparently they open at 11 and I had nothing else to do and wanted to play blackjack switch so I killed an hour just so I could lose $80 by 11:20 (got like three drinks in that time though). At 11:23am I got a text that my room at Aria was ready so walked back that way and checked in, after stopping at CVS for a few supplies.

I relaxed in the room a bit, took a brief nap as I only had about 3 hours sleep the night before, and headed out of the room a few hours later. Went to the Bellagio dinner buffet for my myvegas reward.

Then I basically just wandered the strip, making my way north, randomly playing machines here and there if I saw a waitress nearby. That netted me exactly 0 drinks. Usually no one would even take an order but at TI one took my order and never came back with my drink.

Eventually I Lyfted to Main Street Station. The Pale Ale was out, which was basically the reason I stopped in there but they had an IPA which was good. It cost $3.50 though and apparently the normal price for their other beers is now $2.50. L Lost a couple hands at their double deck game before venturing out.

I checked out the Plaza’s party pit and was not impressed so I walked over to Golden Gate which is always impressive. I played Blackjack here a looong time with dealers such Maria, Brenda, and Kylee (or something with a K). Brenda had a bit of an attitude and when someone at the table said ‘be nice to me’ she said ‘why should I be nice to you if you aren’t nice to me’. I normally don’t play with a dealer like that but she had a great rack so I stayed, tipped her a couple times, and he mood lightened. She had already scared everyone else away from the table at that point but I had a good time where her from then on out.

At some point I went to El Co and turned their $5 freeplay into $13 and left. Back to GG where the waitress was serving me IPAs and I was winning money and have a great time with the group at the table. Plus the dealers are all really friendly and super hot. I quadrupled my money and then lost a little so ended up tripling my buy in, I think. I Lyfted back to Aria about 3am and was pretty drunk. This was one of the best nights in Vegas I have ever had. I was pretty drunk and don’t remember all the details I’m sure, but I do remember enough and I remember how much fun I was having.

The next morning was rough. Aria wouldn’t give me a late check out so I got out of their at 11 and wandered the strip after using my myvegas reward on the bellgio lunch buffet. This was kind of wasted because I felt like shit but I forced myself to eat, thinking it would help me feel better. I got some advil, some redbull, wandered around a bit and eventually drank a couple beers.

I was scheduled to fly out at 6pm and by 3pm I was having a good time playing machines at Bellagio and drinking red bull/vodkas and feeling good and didn’t want to leave. So naturally I asked the waitress (a note about her…very thankful for the tips I was giving her ($2-$3 per drink) but that didn’t seem to hasten her schedule at all. I’m not sure where she possibly could have been disappearing to as long as it took her to return for another order but I digress.) for advice and she was actually pretty down to earth and we had a little chat and I decided for the straightforward approach and called my wife to see if she minded if I stay till the next morning (after checking hotel/airline rates for feasibility). She said she didn’t care and she really seemed to mean it so I stayed. So I switched my sw flight for like another 2000 points and got a room at hotels.com at Circus circus for $22.

Made my way to CC after retrieving my bag, and stopping in and out of a few casinos and upon checkin I was informed that I could upgrade to a room in the tower and it would only cost me a total of $45 instead of the motel room out back that was booked through hotels.com. I was very clear to ask that the $45 is the total and not in addition to and he was very clear that the answer was yes. My credit card transactions show a different story so that’s a little annoying as I might have opted to stay somewhere else if I knew I had to pay almost $70 (I think MSS could be had for less than that).

Anyway, I really had such an amazing time at Golden Gate I decided a repeat of the prior night was in order. Lfyt to MSS, buy drink at the bar, play a couple hands there, lose, check out plaza party pit, again not impressed, go to GG, some of the same girls are working, I sit down to play and…I get slaughtered. At one point, on a $10 bet which gets split and doubled etc so I had 4 bets out there I get a bunch of crap but she has a 6 showing so…well, you know. And it was just down hill from there. I probably lost all my winnings from the prior night so that kinda sucked. I went to a few different tables and each one I lost at and so did everyone who was already at the tables whenever I sat down. I even walked away from a few tables before playing the vibe was so bad a couple times. My losses were pretty small so I don’t really track that closely, but losing just sours the mood. At some point I wasn’t having any fun at all and had an early flight so left.

Foolishly I stopped at MSS for another drink and to try their double deck game one more time and lost more. I was sitting at a table with some fun guys so I said, I’m just going to hang out here with you and drink my beer since you seem more fun that jose at the bar. Even though I wasn’t playing the waitress brought me a few more rounds. Eventually I bought in for another $20 and lost that too in 4 hands straight. Finally we’d all had enough and I left for the evening and was in bed about midnight or maybe 1.

    Of note:
Waitress service at machines: practically nonexistent except Bellagio
Waitress service at tables: very impressive everywhere
Dealers at Golden Gate: Hot and mostly friendly
MyVegas Rewards: Easy to use, no hiccups
Beer at MSS: prices going up and something is wrong with their supply of Pale Ale
El Co Atm free play thingy: you had to jump through hoops to take out the fill $1000 so I only did $500.
    Bellagio buffet: 5 stars
    CC room: perfectly adequate
    Aria Room: 5 stars
