    Hey Now!
Looking to make the most of my Emerald status while I still have it. Thinking about a 4 or 5 night stay in February. Hoping for some front end comps. Anyone have any information to share?

My old host still works there I believe.

    Alice Brown

    228-229-4984

No need to mention my name because I have not talked to her in a couple of years now. If she doesnt give you what you are looking for I would call back at a different time and ask for a host on duty, try your luck that way. They are pretty stingy when it comes to upfront food comps, I would not expect that. They are good about backend comps though (mainly lodging). While you are there take full advantage of the Emerald Lounge, it is in my opinion the best VIP lounge outside of Atlantic City. Small, but hot food and excellent top shelf drinks with a bartended (hopefully) that wont only mind experimenting some new drinks for you, but enjoy it.

    Hey Now!
thanks for the great info Grant. I will give her a call- no names exchanged. Push comes to shove, I can score the first 2 nights at Beau Rivage thru MyVegas and give the IP my play to see where that gets me. I don't usually play MGM props, but it might be time to start since the Borg switched over...

If your into video poker, don't even bother with Beau Rivage. It's a nice casino, but tight as they come...just like its big brother.

Insomnia Bar has pretty good odds on VP and progressive at $.25/.50/1.00/2.00 if you go.

Valet park is the slowest in captivity, but self park is not great either, my only complaint with IP.

    Good Luck-----

The Emerald Level self-park is terrific. Just a few feet from a second floor entrance. The regular self-park is pretty bad. I've lost my car twice in that damn place.

Any comps you get will be tied to your play and not status. Status means almost nothing for comps. Looking at their rate calendar, weekdays for most of Feb show $70. Your past play might get you better. Weekends of course jump to $160-$190 if you are paying.

A few thoughts to add regarding the IP and Biloxi. The best VP was (hopefully still there) upstairs in the cove, you could find 9/6 Job. I think last time I was there though they had moved the machines right outside of the cove, in the non smoking area. There was only 6 machines with that paytable. The bar has better STP paytables than the high limit area. When using the emerald parking, go to the 2nd floor, which is right next to the 2nd floor entrance, rather than parking in the first spot you see, which is forever away from the main entrance. Golden Nugget used to have King Crab on their buffet on Thursdays/Fridays/Saturdays, also grilled pineapple, which is delicious.

    Hey Now!
From the looks of things on vpfree2 that 9/6 JoB in the cove is $30. per point. We will probably stick with the DW44 and BP at the Insomnia Bar. Bad enough the rest of the VP is $3. per point. We are renting a car, so the Emerald parking sounds great. We would like to hit up a couple of local seafood joints. And do a day trip to New Orleans. Thanks for all the info y'all!

Good places that we like to eat when we go to Biloxi:
Half Shell Oyster House( one in the Hard Rock and one across the street which I prefer)
Mary Mahoneys (across the street from the Beau)
    Tarontos Crawfish
McElroys is ok if you like fried seafood
32 in IP is a good steakhouse and the cafe is very good too
Sal and Mookie's Pizza and Ice cream is good(how can you beat the combination)

tfcoach is correct it takes forever to get your car from valet.

thanks Hogman. I checked out all those restaurant websites. We are big fans of gulf coast oysters and New York pizza. I will put all of those places in Sue the GPS.

I have never been, but I have always heard great things about Mary Mahoneys. Several people I know say it is one of their must go places when in Biloxi.

Being from the Historic Triangle area, I am always inserted in 18th century dwellings. Looks like a must go. Just like in AC, our favorite place is the Knife and Fork

got a hold of Alice. She comped us 2 nights up front. What a nice lady. She couldn't get on her computer to bring up my card score. And apologized for not being able to comp more nights upfront. Sounds great so far....

Hi, I just joined this forum, sorry if someone has already mentioned this. I go to IP every month so I thought I would add some tips.

All Emeralds get $50 food comp per week And $150 a month spa credit. We also get free access to the wet area of the spa, and the gym. The women's spa side has a steam room, sauna, artic room and hot tub. The men's I think only has the steam and sauna. There is also a coed steam room.

I noticed recently when I took a few months away that my "emerald food loyalty" and the spa comp were gone. However, I just played one day and the next day I was back in the system and my food and spa comps were back. They are not based on play, but you will likely need to wait a day to be in the system.

If you go during the summer Emeralds can reserve free pool cabanas, which are pretty nice. If you haven't been in a while the Costa Cucina restaurant isn't as good since the old chef left. Tien and 32 are still great.

    Good luck!

    Hey Now!
Welcome to a great forum KindleGirl. Thanks for the much needed IP info. Great news about the food comp and spa credit. Do they have an Emerald check-in?

Yes they have an Emerald Check In, it is in a room across from regular check in. You can't miss it. If it is closed there is also a special line for emeralds and sapphires at the regular check in.

    Have fun!
