Have any TR members actually done one of these? I seem to get something in the mail weekly offering to fly me to Laughlin. I usually just toss them because I assume I'd rather go to LV. Would be curious to hear anyone's experience

I like Laughlin, just for the fact of slower pace, beautiful views. I could sit and walk the river walk for hours. Take a bus tour to Oatman, take a jet boat tour to Lake Havasu, I don't know if Riverside still has the car museum or not.

Once every few years I'll do Laughlin but never flew. It's a nice drive to Vegas from there.1 or 2 nights in Laughlin and then drive into Vegas for a few isn't bad.

Not a bad trip. Multiple casinos along the river. Pretty much a one time thing for most folks. Some go often due to the laid back atmosphere.

I went once. Not much to do in Laughlin really bedsides gamble. Maybe hang out at the river in the summer. I rented a car one day and drove to Oatman and Lake Havasu. A free trip is a free trip though.

I received this offer in the mail today. I'm thinking about taking the trip. It's so specific though... only Feb 24- Feb 28 it seems?? No free play; which is a bummer.

Almost all of the flights in/out of Bullhead City/Laughlin airport are charters. They do not have regularly scheduled flights. Basically there are monthly charter flights sponsored by the casinos from selected cities. Riverside and Harrah's are the only two caisnos that I can see are sponsoring the flights. The arrival and departure schedule in/out of IFP (airport code) is laughable. They land and depart on average 2-3 flights per day. So yes, it is a much slower pace than LV.

HI Drew (again!) We hit Laughlin for the first time last year when we were visiting the inlaws in Scottsdale, and it was a nice relaxed pace.

I'm really careful not to go to Vegas unless I can play at a level that doesn't mess up my offers, so Laughlin can be a nice "sunday drive" where you can play lighter and not have to worry about if you're messing up future offers with lighter play.

Again, it is NOT Vegas, but it was still a really fun, relaxed trip.

About fifteen years ago, two of us took a charter down to Laughlin and met two buddies for golf. Flights down and back (on Sun Country) were fine. They handled bags coming and going. In Laughlin we hopped a bus, keys in hand and they brought luggage to the room later. I've also taken numerous two day "breaks" from LV during trips. Pace is much, much slower. Aside from golf and pool time, gambling is about the only option. Not many shows to see and walking casino drive is no treat. All in all I thought the short trip (three nights) was fine.

    Good Luck!
