    My Trip Report

We arrived in Vegas at about 4 on Thursday the 10th. We had a show at 7:30 at the Wynn, and took Lyft. I had 10 $5 off rides, so the trip cost about two bucks. Lyft and Uber are both fabulous choices to travel distances in Vegas. Next trip we might use them to see some shows downtown.

Saw Show Stoppers at Wynn, and it was wonderful. Highly recommended. In fact, I can safely say that every show we say we thoroughly enjoyed and would highly recommend!

Friday we had lunch at Hash House and here is a place that our Diamond Status REALLY helps. An hour wait for most; instant in for us. The food there is great, the portions jinormous!

Baz is a newer show at the Palazzo, and again we rated it highly.

We had dinner at Reggianos where we found waiters from Italy, so I was able to use my Italian!

Saturday was spent at the Big Smoke- this was almost too much for me. 3000 plus people, the smoke made my eyes water. It was a fascinating event, well worth attending- once! I'd consider going again IF I went with a group. Solo one kinda gets lost in the sea of humanity!

SWMBO went to see Menopause The Musical and said she laughed continuously.

Sunday saw me attending the final sessions at The Big Smoke. I asked SWMBO to go to Legasse's and get us a booth so we could try them out and watch some football. She called and said their was a minimum of $75 to do so, so we dropped that idea. Next trip I'd like to try the food there. maybe during the week would be sans minimum.

We tried the Tilted Kilt instead, this was your basic pub fair, but was tasty enough. A bit on the loud side with all the football games and fans cheering, and we were put next to a table with guys that were showing off their belching prowess. Seemed like they were three sheets to the wind.

Dinner at the Diamond Club, took the edge off even though Atlantic City clubs put the Vegas clubs to shame!

Went to see Carrot Top Sunday evening- he truly is one of the funniest guys we've seen! Likely we see him again in two trips.

Monday, our last day, saw us trying out Mon Ami Gabi, outstanding French Onion Soup and Crème Brûlée, salad was basic. Wife's Croque Monsieur was good. Dinner was at D. Gilley's- excellent BBQ, and then we saw Mystère- with low hopes. But,we were astounded! What amazingly talented acrobats! We had seen Love last trip, and were mildly impressed, but this show has me rethinking not seeing anymore Cirque shows. Granted, some of the costumes were a bit weird/nightmarish, but the gymnastics were jaw dropping. Highly recommended! Might just check out another one of their shows!

Then, sadly, we had to return home on Tuesday, another wonderful visit come to an end, looking forward with anticipation to our trip in May of 2017.

Could you please use a CR (Carriage Return) every once in awhile? I am fighting to read your post.

OK, finally got through it. Very nice TR, sounds like you ate well, saw some good shows, and had a nice time overall!

I wouldn't have abbreviated CR. That mean carriage return? When I think of CR, I tend to think of credits, or Casino Royale. lol

Nice report hotreds! Sounds like a very nice four days.

Fixed. And actually, it should have been CR/LF.

I'm the same way with Cirque...enjoyed Love, but I'm like the dog looking at the wristwatch with everything else.

Nothing about how the gambling went?

We saw Mystere as our very fist Cirque show and loved it. Then we saw "O" and were bored to death. Same with KA. But we loved LOVE so much that I've seen it around 14 times (might be 15, lost count)!

    Nice enjoyable report, thanks.

    CR/LF = Casino Royale/Last Frontier ?

Enjoyed your TR @hotreds - amazing how many shows you saw in 4 days! Mystere was the first Cirque show we ever went to and loved it too (although we are hooked on LOVE, 10 times and counting).
    Thanks for sharing!

Sorry, folks! I was trying to conserve space- I guess that made the read oppressive! Won't happen again! I don't gamble very much, try to do enough to keep my comp rooms coming. I came home up one hundred dollars.

When they return your carriage, how much should you tip? :poke:
    Kidding, of course!

Thanks for the recap, hotreds! I agree about Carrot Top. I'm still sore from laughing so hard at the CT show this summer.
Thank you again for sharing your observations!
