https://reservations.luckydragonlv.com/CGI-BIN/lansaweb?procfun+rn+resnet+RES+funcparms+UP(A2560):;;;;;?/ This link shows the room rates at the new Lucky Dragon, $188 is the cheapest available, yikes.
They think a lot of themselves. The way I read it you need to add $18 plus tax for Resort Fee daily. On the other hand it's easier to lower prices than to raise them. TomTWI
It wasn't built for the common folks. I wouldn't be shocked if they are good they they stay full at those prices. You have to look who they are ained towards and it's not the same as who CC aims for.
Well, some Chinese love number 8, but they are no fools. Unless the room is better than a Wynn Tower Suite, no one with a head will stay there for that price.
I'll admit it - I am disappointed in some of the responses (and the negativity) in this thread. This is the first new grass roots hotel to open in Vegas in about 6 years, and there is barely 200 rooms available... OF COURSE the room rates in the first few weeks will be high. Do you guys really think they expect rates to be like this even three months down the road? Really? REALLY? Of course not. "Oh no, a brand new casino is charging more than $40 per night AND OMG THEY HAVE A RESORT FEE THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY ARE DOING AND THEY ARE OUT OF THEIR MINDS FDKLAJFDKLADFK!!!" EDIT: Since this a new hotel opening, until everything is well on schedule there is alway uncertainly on the opening date, so they obviously don't have the luxury of being able to open u preservations months in advance, nor do they have a full slate of known customers that will stay in comped rooms. I took a look at room rates up and down the strip for the weekend of Dec. 3... It isn't pretty.
Oh come on you should have expected this type of response. Most of us(including me) haven't run anything more than a cool aide stand but we all think we know how to run a Resort Casino. I agree they need to start a little high and see what the market is. Be realistic about location, however. Having never set foot in the place I'm going to say it should not be more than Red Rock or The M. See I don't know sh*t but I'll tell them how to run the place. TomTWI
Since the hotel is boutique size, there is a chance they will remain higher than we may expect but the will come down.
The rates are excellent looking into March and April of 2017.... Since this is a "boutique" resort....I'd lump it in there alongside The Cromwell. I'd say the rates are excellent for a NEW hotel/casino and also excellent for a boutique category experience! They will market heavily towards their target demographic...overseas visitors, they will be fine! The only thing that might hurt them is that they are "off-strip". There is lots of Asian shopping, eating and other stuff nearby in that area. If they can partner with or make their own Transportation or Tour Groups that are bilingual they will do even better! Even if a foreigner "knows" English, they might have a fear of speaking it. Just the option a little help is a comfort and even if it's pricey....it will sell. I did notice that anything other than a standard room is SOLD OUT. NO suites and no junior suites either. =( Maybe those rooms aren't finished yet, or those rooms are booked via host only. Either way...I'm totally excited for this casino/hotel and I can't wait to stay there in April!
