I thought maybe it was a glitch, but when I entered my Total Rewards card number at their website, it showed most of their properties had rooms for $0/night for most of December (not counting resort fees and taxes). Cromwell and NOBU were still charging more than $0.

I'm no high-roller. I have ZERO rewards points and one of their plain slot cards. I made a cancelable reservation for a fairly decent room at PH. The only risk I see is a bankruptcy between then and now.

I knew Decembers were slow in Vegas, but this seems unusual.

There is no risk of bankruptcy and your room reservations. As to a possible glitch, you can double check by looking at the last two days of December. Teaser or newcomer rates will NOT be zero for those days.

We're still deciding on whether to do a longer stay at Sams Town this year, as we originally planned, or a split Strip/Sams stay due to the lower rates, which were totally unexpected this year.

I was out in September "Stayed at the Tropicana" and played a little at Planet Hollywood not much, 120 tier points. I have friends going out this month and about two week ago I checked to see what it would cost for me to tag along. To my surprise, everything was $0 through the week except Caesars and Nobu which were $700 a night, About $500 a night more than if I didn't log in with my TR account. Now I'm going back out and staying at The Cromwell for 3 nights for around $100. I don't know what's up but I'm not complaining, must be trying to fill some rooms before the new year.

Weeks 2 and 3 of december are the absolute slowest for Las Vegas, especially after the rodeo. After thanksgiving and before christmas it is slow every year.

Exactly right. Even the lowest of the low rollers to the no rollers can get a free room in December.

I'm staying at PH on the 29-Jan 1. With my wife and I's TR numbers it was cheaper but not cheap for New Years...

Low rates were available to me in Jan and Feb also. Booked Feb 19-24 only had to pay for one night. Rest were comped, resort fee was charged but my total for a room in the place tower for five nights was less than $300. I ran $200 through the slots after seeing Celine last week, no other CET play in years.

I started a thread about this a while back too, in shock. It's not just December, I have virtually no TR play at all the last couple years, but I've booked my next three trips (15 nights) fully comped with CET and still have apparently limitless free rooms available.

Meanwhile I've stayed/played pretty much exclusively with MGM props over the past 5 years and am lucky to get 3 nights at a lower-end resort (not complaining, just comparing).

Grabbing what I can while I can before I get there at Xmas and they realize I'm a severe low-roller.

Apparently not everyone is able to get these rates.

I just checked my TR calendar and the first two weeks of December (Sun-Fri) is showing Paris and LinQ comped for 5 nights.
And i haven't been to Vegas since Nov.2015 when my medical condition got in the way............LOL.

I have no play at CET properties for two years and then just live poker. Laughlin Harrah's has a resort fee of $10 a night, so I booked there for two nights Dec. 11-12. With three free nights at the Colorado Belle, I have five nights in Laughlin for just $22. Thanks so much for the initial heads up on this. I rarely check the Total Rewards site. Once I booked the Laughlin I did not see the 0 offers at any strip places, but sometimes when I've booked a couple nights on a deal and want a couple more a week or so apart, I call CET and tell them I can't access my choices. They book and waive the calling fee.

Apparently not everyone is seeing this offer. Several users over at Fatwallet said they had no success.

I had absolutely NO play at CET in the years 2010-2013 (4 years), yet I was able to get a free weekend room in Reno at Harrahs.

They must keep records "forever", because I had played at Harrahs on and off for about 35 years Prior to that.

Too bad, Roginator. It may depend upon where you live. Sometimes offers go like that. As others have mentioned, it does not depend on play. My last stay at a CET casino was two free nights on my son's coupon at Planet Hollywood and I played nothing at all there. I can't play the poor pay tables in VP. Might as well buy the rooms. Colorado Belle gave me three weekend nights for free for November and December. I played live poker there last November and remember putting in a twenty in one slot, Bob's Fishing something, and I broke even. I did it while waiting for a poker seat.

Seeing the same thing myself. Didn't go this year at all so haven't been since May 2015 but am seeing comped rooms available at a majority of hotels throughout the month. Caesars is hit and miss and no comps at Cromwell/Nobu but others pretty consistently available.

Caesars does know i'm still alive because i use SR every day. They know that i gather RC points at home to use in Vegas when the time comes. They know i redeem my points and they send me e-mails confirming my points being accepted. The Tier points have never been a priority with me because i have always been fine with being Gold, so it doesn't matter to me about when my Tier credits will expire.
I get offers and such through e-mails a few times a week, i get and play free money online every day playing Caesars Casino.
That's why i still get offers and my TR calendar for the next year (2017) shows me comped (Sun-Fri) for most CET properties.
Because i go solo, don't really use Reward credits for dining and shopping, just for using my rewards credits to pay for the resort fee upon checkout, that's why i only use my TR calendar to book dates instead of offers because using my calendar is cheaper than my offers.
I'd rather have 5 consecutive nights comped using my calendar instead of 2 or 3 comped nights plus a dining credit and maybe $10-$20 in free play.
I'm happy with just being Gold knowing that Caesars is fine with me in giving me free consecutive 5 or 6 nights at a time because they know when i go to Vegas they can count on me gambling on their properties.
I can stay for a week at their Hotels and not be charged a dime, including resort fees (around $150) and still be Gold.
