Sounds like the same setup some of the airlines have, most likely is. Still, sounds like an easy way to keep your Total Rewards account active while at home. I see only 71 restaurants in Las Vegas that are a part of the program. Not many restaurants at CET locations either.

Wait wouldn't you be earning 5 cents per $1 spent? 1 RC = 1 cent...

you're right, sorry, I was thinking video poker earns 1RC per $10, so I was thinking it was 1000RC per $1 comp (It's actually $1000 coin in per dollar comp)
    1% isn't bad then...

Thanks for posting this. It seems like a nationwide roll out of what they've had in Philly and AC lately. Last year my SO took her mom and grand to a place on the list and it showed up in her TR account pretty swiftly. Definitely not 6-8 weeks. At least it's good that you get 3 RCs per $1. Better than on a TR property, really. Though I rarely eat at most of the places and have a CET property nearby, it's still a nice program.

I registered the same cards that I use for Southwest Rapid Rewards Dining.

Double dipping for hotel and airfare!

Thanks for sharing - hadn't seen this. I only make 1 trip per year, so it's a great way to keep my TR points active.

The 3RC's per $ spent is only for a limited time. So use your card often until March 5th.
✝︎During the introductory promotional period (October 31, 2016 - March 5 2017), Total Rewards® members who enroll in Total Rewards Dining earn three (3) Reward Credits per $1 spent at qualifying program restaurants, bars, and clubs, including tax and tip. Enrolled members who use their registered Total Rewards Visa Card earn five (5) Reward Credits per $1 spent.

TR visa is a much easier way to keep your Total Rewards account active while at home. In fact, now thru the end of Dec, use your TR Visa at any restaurants anywhere, you earn 3X points.

Thanks for the information. I tried the link you posted to get a list of restaurants and it didn't work. So I went to the website directly and it still didn't work.
I know it wasn't you. However you'd think a big company like this would make sure things work before the announce things like this.

Please explain the "double dipping"? As I understand these programs, the points go to whichever CARD is used to pay for the meal. If I pay with my TR card, the points go to Total Rewards. If I pay with Soutwest Card, I get points on Southwest Freq Flyer account.

We registered our Delta Am Ex so when we use this at a restaurant we will get miles from Delta and RC's as that is the registered card with CET. The only thing is for the intro period we will only get 3 pts per dollar with CET..still not bad This is a different way to do this to get both points on one card, so that is what I think he means...Rick

Having a TR or Southwest card is irrelevant to these programs (I don't have either). You go to their sites and register your personal credit cards... my wife has a debit card for her credit union and I have a couple of different Capital One cards. Neither are branded wtih TR or Southwest.

When I pay for a meal with one of my registered cars, if that restaurant is affiliated with one of the programs, I will get points. I didn't cross-check to see if any of the Southwest or TR affiliated restaurants overlap, but if they do, I believe that each company would give me the points for using the registered credit card.

ETA - I just checked, and at least one local Milwaukee restaurant (Barbieri's) is on both programs. If I eat dinner and pay with my Capital One card, I should get both RCs from Total Rewards and miles from Southwest.

That program is different then the one I got.

Earn 3X reward credits on all restaurant purchases when you use TR Visa from Nov 1st to Dec. 31.

If you haven't already you will be getting a notice that your SW rapid rewards dining account will no longer be valid.

You can't double dip with same cards.

I just can not believe any of the systems would let you get points in two systems at once. Somebody, somewhere is paying for those points.

This looks like some kind of set up between the restaurants and CET, not the credit card. There was no problem using our AmEx but we will see when we use it. Will be great if we get miles and RC's.............Rick

On a related note, it does not replace or override the existing local earnings. There are only a handful of merchants that support both, but I'm sure that double dipping won't last.
