I don't know if this will hold much interest to many of you. So if not, sorry and hit next.

So every since they built Slotzilla we have been saying every trip we 'have to try that.' Then every time there was some excuse. Oh I'll bet the line to too long, it will take to much time, etc.
This time we came to the startling realization [IMG] that they are not going to close the casinos and the chances of them taking away our favorite machine is not all that likely.
So off we went toward the east end of Fremont. Paying and getting set with the machines was so easy and it dispatched the wristbands for the selected time. We believe if you are going to be a bear you should be a grizzly, so no zip... zoom.
Every step of the process was a blast. Getting in the harness, getting hooked to the line and then that moment when the door opens and you are flying down Fremont. It was a complete and total rush. As soon as we were unhooked on the other end, I wanted to go again.
After you get to the bottom of the landing zone the show you all the pictures that they have taken from start to finish and encourage you to purchase them. We were on a high and decided that we would get one of each of us. Total $30. Then the young man said, if you have them sent to email, you can have them all for $40. SOLD. They didn't pressure us, but just like Disney they didn't miss the chance for the up sell.
It was really fun and I'm sorry that we waited so long to try it. Will repeat next trip.

I like watching people do it, but I am to much of a chicken to try it. I'm glad you finally did it and had a good time.

My daughter wants to do a zip-line on our next trip. I've researched the Rio Voodoo Zipline and my family has been d.t. to watch the Slotzilla.
So which should she do?... or maybe both? I thought it would be fun for her to do the Slotzilla and after we could go go Pizza Rock?
And if we do the Rio Zip, we could go to Guy Fieri's restaurant at Rio?

I have done both the Slotzilla (lower) and the Rio Voodoo.

The Voodoo isn't really a zipline. They belt you onto a plastic chair and shoot you down from one building towards another and then bring you back again. It's over pretty quick. When we were there a few people chickened out as you are up pretty high.

The Slotzilla line is a lot more fun and picturesque. You get to zoom over Fremont St and look down on people and the Casinos. I thought it was a way better experience and memory. Wife and I bought a picture of us flying past the Four Queens open bar area. I would like to try it again this trip.

Thanks BHO.. I thought Slotzilla looked more like a zip ride than the voodoo (which actually looks more like a carny ride.) But the voodoo ride is like 55 stories up which I think my daughter might like.
I was trying to tell her if she really wants a thrill ride, she should go to the top of The STRAT and do the Big Shot or one of those rides.

Although I have been zip lining, I haven't done so in LV but here's a vote for Big Shot! It was exhilarating!

I'm glad it was fun for you...that you had a good time... but I sure wish they'd demolish that monstrosity, as well as reducing the kiosks under the canopy by about 50%.
No, not a cranky old man...just someone that always thought Fremont had a visual charm to it that these eyesores robbed it of.

i thought the voodoo zipline was a better deal on groupon... 33 bucks for 2 people, half off photo & video, 2 free passes to voodoo club

We did Slotzilla on our November trip this year.
*Note* the LVA coupons for Slotzilla are only valid until 5 pm.
We did the Superman style on the higher wire for $45
We even got our photos on the FSE canopy for about an hour too!

Which weight category is the weight that usually gets stuck in the middle? How much did you weigh?
