I hate everyone in Vegas. Everything they do around me annoys me. My favorite time in Vegas is 4-7am when no one is around. I even hate anyone that I go with. They just suppress me from doing what I want when I want and make me watch the time so I don't miss meeting up with them. Bah Hum-bug.

I used to be the same way; but for some inexplicable reason, must have mellowed in my old age. Where nearly everything (and everyone) used to bother me, I can't think of anything over the last couple of years that's gotten to me. If someone wants to play entirely stupid, take all day setting the dice, blowing smoke (figuratively and literally), screaming for no apparent reason (gosh, I could go on listing things all day), I just don't care anymore. Maybe it's not mellowing, but terminal apathy!

Only thing that annoys me is when I have a thirst and can't find a CW and the casino is slow. If the place is hopping I don't blame them. We keep EST schedule while in Vegas, so when its 8 or 9am EST and the casino is slow, and I can't get a drink, I get a bit annoyed. Its hard to keep a constant buzz going without the nectar of the gods. Especially since we're generous tippers, part of that generosity is in exchange for the implied promise that you keep it coming! :)

When you're walking down the crowded strip, or across one of the pedestrian crossings, or through a casino, and there are hundreds of people ahead of you, and obviously at least that many behind you, all walking at a good clip. Then the two people directly in front of you, obviously feeling that there are ONLY people ahead of them and miraculously NO ONE behind them, STOP on a dime to chat about something they are passing...I used to do incredible calisthenics to avoid running them over, but now - I run them over. SEE THE MOB AHEAD OF YOU? THERE'S AS MANY BEHIND YOU LADY!!

Okay I thought of others, Vegas-specific:

-the button smashers. DUDE, the machine can't tell you're frustrated!
-the people who don't tip the CWs. Did you escape a BARN!?
-the people who stand in front of machines and stare at them like they just got off the Ark. it's a slot machine, you're in Vegas!
-the clingers: people who sit beside you when there's a bunch of other machines free
-the people who expect you to explain the game to them: NO. Am not a sales rep!
-people who pick at themselves (nose, teeth or crotch) and touch the machines. Just no.
-the people who mumble angrily when they are losing. Stow it sideways: I don't need your malevolent vibes in my Vegas bubble.

People that bring a dozen TITO to the cash out machine and cash them out in one a time at a turtle's pace.

Worse than that the ones who buy in for $100 or more play one hand then color up and leave. yep that one hand shows you how the rest of the hand will be.

Im pretty nice with everyone and it takes a lot to annoy me (at least if it does I usually internalize it and still filter my responses) that I get sometimes a person chat up with me and play or make 'suggestions' to what I need to do in a hand (not that I dont know, it is obvious, but I guess they feel comfortable to talk to me in that manner by the way I present myself) and just sit there as if im their best buddy in the world. I have no problem w that as I like to converse w people or just play their social game (if he is trying to sell or say, she is selling herself) until they get tired and take off.
But when i get up to cash out or im losing or move to another table or game, if they follow me that's no problem but what I dont appreciate is when they drop their sensitivities regarding my losses and still beg me for some money at the end when I proclaim im turning in for the nite.
I give anyone a chip or two for a drink's worth but never more. The annoying time is if I see this person again next day or later where they play up to be my friend again only to ask me for more money again by that time I tell them please do not ask me for money anymore (usually I have to say it in more ways than one) and once they get the picture, they leave without even a word.
That is my true annoyance. Finding out their company towards me was just centered on what money I can give them. No I wasn't born yesterday I know about these things but my annoyance is more philosophical than anything bc I would do this again and again , risking the fact they may act this way again in the end. :(

...or people who sit at a machine, push the "i" button, and slowly and methodically read through every information screen about that particular machine forwards and backwards, before hitting the damned button once! HELLOOOOO...that doesn't make one fling-flang of a difference whether you win or lose, if you know what the different symbols mean. Do those people really think "Oh look, that symbol pays the best, I'm going to try to get that one"... holy crap, push the button a few times and you'll quickly learn what pays and what doesn't! lol. Then that same person will usually press their own machine's button once every 2-3 minutes, while watching every spin of your machine carefully...which is when I cash out and move on.

No attractive ladies. Just avg Joes and unassuming persons. Usually at casinos in los Angeles area as I usually gambled there. Happens all the time in places like Commerce and Hawaiian Gardens.

    ..
You mean physically attractive ladies? Sure sometimes. :)

agree! that is about the hardest part for me in Vegas. I walk for exercise a lot, and it is nearly impossible for me to just stroll. move stupid!! when I get to the point that I want to shove someone or knock 'em down, I know it is time for me to take a break.

It won't help with running, but I found a solution for walking through a casino or some other crowded areas where people just shuffle along aimlessly.

You find yourself a couple of blockers. A couple of guys walking side by side at a reasonable clip, with purpose. You just fall in behind them, and off you go.

The only thing that bugs me is waiting in line at a gift shop or whatever. Apparently, actually paying for the shit in some fashion at the end is a novel concept for some people.

How about this..any one get annoyed at this?:

Happens anywhere , a couple or a group of three walking all side-by-side to each other down a narrow sidewalk or corridor, whether they see you or not, decides not to let you pass or give you enough space to pass?
Im usually courteous about these things and when im walking w my wife or friend side by side I always yield to in front or back of my partner to let others pass by.

What's up with some of these people?

Or the blatant littering of garbage in a bush or someplace. Bag of fast food trash dumped right on side of sidewalk. I dont get some of these people.

How interesting. In another thread I commented on the over-exuberant celebration (which is indeed theatrics) for the sake of celebration. I think, if you've played for any length of time at all, you understand that indeed you win hands (BJ) and you lose. The fact that you won - and bear in mind we're playing at the $10 ~ $15 tables making the minimum bet - is not miraculous. I've run across a couple of tables where it's obviously acting...and I just can't understand why that behavior exists.
