The Stage Door casino & general store are supposedly some seedy dive bar & store located behind Flamingo and across the street from Bally's where cheap drinks could be had but my preliminary research has discovered that the Stage Door casino has closed (much to my dismay). Can someone shed some light on this if this is true or not. I'll be staying at Flamingo in a few weeks and I was looking to score some cheap drinks from this dive bar or store. Is the general store still open where I could possibly buy 24 oz cans of Bud Ice to take back to my room? I'm not strapped for cash but I really don't care for spending $9 for a well drink from Flamingo or Bally's. Rip me if you want for staying at Flamingo but Flamingo was by far the cheapest hotel I could find even with the $29 resort fee ($66 total on a Saturday night).

I hope this is not accurate...I make that a stop there every trip...love that dump! I also think this would be a headline story on LVA website if true.
