For the last 4 nights (Th-Mo Thanksgiving weekend) of my upcoming trip I have Flamingo booked. Not my favorite hotel, but I love the location and it was the best deal I could get. But now I got a special offer from Expedia, with a lot of hotels on the Strip coming out cheaper than Flamingo. I'm tempted to change my bookings (again!) and would like to get your opinion. This is what I have booked already:

    . 9-16 Harrah's
    16-19 Polo Towers
    19-24 Four Queens
    24-28 Flamingo

For Flamingo I'm paying $548 and these are my other options (all are incl. taxes and resort fees):

    The Linq $539
    Never stayed at this hotel.
Much prefer the LINQ over Flamingo, but I am already staying a week at Harrah's and the LINQ is so close, I would rather experience the Strip from a different angle.

    Casino Royale $535
    Never stayed at this hotel.
Not very excited about this one and it's close to Harrah's, would rather experience the Strip from a different angle.

    Harrah's $518
Already staying a week at Harrah's, would rather experience the Strip from a different angle.

    Bally's $515
    Never stayed at this hotel.
Great location on the Strip. Good option imo.

    MGM Grand $514
    Never stayed at this hotel.
A bit away from center Strip, but would enjoy spending a few days on different side of Strip.

    Treasure Island $510
    Never stayed at this hotel.
Not sure if I like the location, but might be a good option.

    Monte Carlo $462
Already stayed numerous times at MC, so probably not. But cheap!

    Tropicana $458
    Never stayed at this hotel.
Not sure about this one, price is tempting, but location not so much.

    Luxor $438
    Never stayed at this hotel.
Not excited about hotel nor location, but cheap!

    Excalibur $421
    Never stayed at this hotel.
Not excited about hotel nor location, but cheap!

    Hooters $395
    Never stayed at this hotel.
This one probably not, don't like location, but $150 less than Flamingo!

So these are my options, but while writing it down, I already came to the following pre-selection:

    The LINQ $539
    Bally's $515
    MGM Grand $514
    Treasure Island $510
    Tropicana $458

I think location-wise Bally's is my best option. Hotel-wise probably LINQ or MGM? Price-wise Tropicana is tempting. T.I. I don't know what to think of.

HELP?! Any input is appreciated (also regarding the hotels which didn't make my pre-selection). Thanks in advance!

I'm a big Bally's fan (obviously from my countdown clock) and if you can get a Jubilee room, they are very nicely re-done. Good mid-strip location, attached to Paris. I would probably go with that if those were my choices.

I'm not a big fan of Flamingo; I think their casino and rooms are a bit beat. I do like Harrah's a lot. In fact Harrah's is my usual base casino when traveling solo to LV. But I like it because they have easy access to my rental car from my room and I drive multiple times each day. Also, I'm diamond and get a more upgraded room than the standard. I would take Bally's or MGM over Flamingo. Also, Monte Carlo is under renovation and much of their place is closed down so I wouldn't stay there right now. TI is the same hotel as Monte Carlo...architecturally speaking. The two are compared to show the difference in mega-hotel looks. The Monte Carlo was built with each room window having it's own facade and looks very busy or crowded when you look at it. The TI was the same building but with 4 rooms forming a window facade so it looks less busy and more appealing to the eye. Just a side note. :)

I never stayed at Harrah's, but like the casino and love the location, so I'm very much looking forward to my stay there next week!

I also think Bally's is my best option. Certainly better than Flamingo and still $30 cheaper! Also I like to play at the poker room at Bally's, so that's another plus.

Yes, I'm thinking Bally's too, but still considering MGM. I can use the monorail (with myVegas BOGO) to get to center Strip. Not sure yet, at the moment #1 Bally's en #2 MGM. Will decide tonight after work.

The frugal in me is still considering Tropicana though, $90 less than Flamingo and still $60 cheaper than Bally's or MGM.

I know the location is not the greatest, bu t I would probably go with MGM out of those. Bally's would be second on that list. I've never stayed at TI but that would probably be third for me here. Flamingo is pretty much a no-go for me and with everything else cheaper it really has no appeal.

I would have to put my +1 in for Bally's. Large rooms (if you can get Jubilee, even better, they come with a fridge and coffee maker), mid-strip, connected to Paris indoors, pretty comfy beds (Not Wynn, but you get what you pay for).

Bally's is a very solid choice while MGM would be my #2. I love Harrah's but I would want to mix it up if I was staying so long.

If I remember correctly Vegasnut stays there when he goes to Vegas so you may want to hit him up.

    Hope all is well!

Personally I'd say Trop. If you can handle the MGM grand location, Trop should be no problem.

Flamingo is still very close to Harrahs.

Thank you all for your input!

    The stand is now:
    #1 Bally's
    #2 Tropicana (agree with Navyn)
    #3 MGM

Still not sure, but at least I am sure now that I will cancel Flamingo.

    My choices would be

Ballys (because you already have Harrahs booked)
    Harrahs (love Harrahs)

Stay away from Tropicana (the pedestrian bridge was closed for repairs in September) that makes it difficult to walk to other properties.

I was just going to say what Fet said about the pedestrian bridge. No idea when that will be working again, but it's a long walk from Trop to MGM via the bridge now.

Why no love for TI in this thread? I have always enjoyed my time at TI. Good location.

Stay at Bally`s unless you intend to spend most of your time down at the south end of the strip. We just recently stayed 2 days at MGM and had a 1 day monorail pass which worked fine but I wouldn`t want to do that for 4 days. MGM is a huge property and the monorail station is even farther back. On the plus side we did go wandering up to SLS to see something new to us with the monorail pass which is something we would have never done otherwise (you might get lucky and Lucky Dragon might have a soft opening before Dec 3 so you could see that). Plus you will spend $12 per day for the monorail or $6 with the 2 for 1 deal which would eat into your savings at Trop. I would stay at MGM over Trop but it depends on how important that $64 difference is to you. For me it would be worth the difference.

Ya TI is a nice property, independently run and fairly easy to get free stuff with some play..the poker room has best comps on the strip in my opinion

Thank you, Fet! That will indeed eliminate Tropicana.

    I vote for MGM Grand:
Rooms were remodeled a few years ago
    Monorail!
Many good food choices @ MGM, NYNY, Mandalay
    CVS across the street
$5 cab ride to north strip if you want to skip the monorail
