I just made Sapphire as you can see, what kinds of offers might I expect to receive, and how soon might I get it?

I hit Sapphire in early September and honestly haven't seen much change in my offers. As usual, it is your daily play that is going to define your offers. Did get a mailing congratulating me and saying I had a free $10 prize. Underwhelmed. Comp dollars do accumulate much faster.

My understanding is that when you reach Sapphire, you'll get a "Sapphire Reward" of a 3-night comp stay at any Las Vegas property. And you'll keep getting this reward if you can maintain Sapphire every year.

Other offers on top of the yearly "Sapphire Reward" is dependent on average daily play... My understanding is that you'll do better getting rewards if you concentrate all your play into one single property each day, instead of spreading it around even among the Boyd family (with the except of the 3 downtown properties which are treated as one).

If those points that you have posted above were earned during one day, at one Boyd property, you might expect to get 2-night comp offers. If they were spread among properties... I'm not sure it'll generate much.

All of this is just my own understanding, don't quote me on it! If anyone else here knows better, please correct me.

I became Sapphire since 2013, I can get $3 off ( up to two people ) at gold coast buffet which I have used few times. That's the only benefit I get .

I made sapphire by staying at Orleans four times one year. I didn't notice a thing. I would recommend getting on their bconnected website; I get quarterly gambling offers which the slot club people say that I can only redeem if I print them out. They have a printer terminal at the club if you forget to do it at home.

I hit Emerald in late 2014 and Sapphire in 2015, which is current. I haven't received the Sapphire offer since 2014. When I got mine initially there was a delay of a couple months. Your regular offers won't change. Your daily play looks really light so I'm curious if you're even getting the monthly offers.

You get double points but other than that not much difference between ruby and sapphire.

yeah I was gonna say the same thing, unfortunately, your play is so light, I'd be surprised if you get more than just "discounts"..
FWIW, I made sapphire in two days ($25k coin-in video poker), and Im barely getting free nights from MSS...

Oh no, not what I wanted to hear (lol). It is true that my play is very light. Take the October 2016 column for example, 3877 points was spread out over 5 nights. I guess that I won't be expecting much by way of free night offers. I may not even maintain Sapphire status and might drop back down to ruby as some points expire. Oh well at least I can say that I once made Sapphire but for how long I can keep it will remain to be seen. I guess I was hoping for a free night offer before I drop back down to ruby status.

I have not seen that much difference. They (Sams Town at least) were relatively generous compared to CET even at the Ruby level with modest but consistent play when in town.

Decided to check out Orleans for the first time and racked in 53,000 points in 4 days back at the end of Sept. for Sapphire. Took about 2 weeks after that to get the any 3 consecutive nights free, 50dollar dining credit and 30 dollars in slot play. (Was not impressed)
Finally a few days ago my new offers came in for the new quarter for Jan/Feb and received 3 comp nights, 100 dollars in dining and also 100 dollars in freeplay with 2 vouchers for spend 25 and get 25 in freeplay. So in theory, for whomever is on the east coast and decide to put 50k through Orleans during a stay, that is what you'll see I guess. I also stayed in a suite and the host at the end of the stay comped my dinner at the steakhouse there and also a couple of buffets that I charged back to the room. Speaking of host, Sarah is awesome.

If you change your home casino at the b connected website your offers will change. I used to list MSS and never got an offer but changed over to the California and I get 3 comp nights a month and $40 in food credit

Thank you for that recommendation. I had Gold Coast as my favorite where I stayed only once. I changed it to California where I've stayed maybe 30 times.

If I get any offers I'll post here (crossing my fingers).

I'm kind of afraid of changing things for fear of kiboshing the rather consistent Sams Town offers.

However, I'm wondering if the reservations agent would be able to "move" the offer to a different place like Gold Coast (closer to the Strip) or Aliante (newer and nicer)?

On the last trip it was very obvious of all kinds of cutbacks at Sams Town (as in room maintenance, decreased hours of things, etc.) and we were thinking of trying another place.

Do you still have to pay resort fees on comped rooms at a Boyd property?

I do not pay resort free on comped rooms at any boyds. if the room is "discounted" you will pay the resort fee.

I don't recall getting that automatic 3 night stay when I became sapphire. not much has changed really, offers for the most part are going to be based on coin-in.

I see, so even the automatic 3 night stay is based on play as well... As for me, I earned the required 25000 points for Sapphire in about 5 days, which did get me the 3 night stay.
