Anyone a super fan of this game? I read it is available at Venetian and at TI on the Strip, and also at Silverton, I suspect with better pay tables. Any fun experiences? I would love to be able to hit and photograph a 6 card royal. :D

Atlantis in Reno has an online contest starting Nov 1 using Super Draw 6. Until then, they have it up for practice on their site and app. I've played it some there and it seems fun but at 10 coins per hand, one can lose big chunks fast. The Atlantis contest is 100 hands of 10-play which is 10000 total coins. I've lost 3000-4000 coins multiple times playing TDB.

I've thought a little about strategy but haven't tried to work out the math for any hands. There's got to be some oddball holds.

Since they're running the contest, they almost certainly offer it in their casino as well. And they've generally got the best pay tables of pretty much anywhere.

According to videopoker.com there are 2 machines at Green Valley Ranch right now. If you go to their website and go to find in casino under the play button you can search for all different variations.

You would think. But videopoker.com claims it's not there yet. Also the game is struggling to catch on nationwide. Partly like you said, strategy is significantly off standard DDB. Here was an effort from a videopoker.com member even more curious than me about it. He saw that there were quite a few 3 to a flush draws in there when the regular flush pays 30 and a 6 card flush pays 125. And even 2 to a flush with a high card can be better than high card only. Also three to an open-ended straight like 789 can be playable. So yeah, can be a mess.

Thanks for the replies. Yes, it is an expensive game, like Ultimate X. The strategy is messy, but the return is better than the base game. Wizard of Odds has the return for various games, full pay Jacks is, if I remember correctly, 99.8%. I have tried it in video poker.com, but not in real casinos. Worth a try for a change, maybe.

But one other drawback is, none of these casinos will give you anywhere near full pay on this game (even though they should because they'll cleanup on errors). For JoB, you'll be lucky to get 8/5 (97.59%) for quarters. And the strategy is so messy that I would expect the typical player to lose way more in errors than the quarter percent or so added from 6 card bonus bet.

Now this actually contrasts with some forms of ultimate x. In 6/5 Bonus ultimate x for instance (which you can also find at some strip casinos for as cheap as nickels), you can play standard bonus strategy and still have an improved return. Plus I think Ultimate X strategies are much easier to learn as well.

All this being said, you'll still probably want to try it in the casino, regardless of strategy/paytable concerns.

I did with Split Card recently, and apparently I was fairly off with that strategy myself.

But these strategy difficulties would make me hesitant to put a lot of play into it.

Yes, I will try this game for a change, but aware that it might not be the better game available, so not worth putting a lot of play into it.
