Looks like inflation has hit CET.

Current valuation of CET GGWU points is:

    35,000 = $100
based on the exchange price of points to a Gift card (Gap, Shell, Landry's, Kohl's, etc.)

mLife HGS still appears to be holding steady at
    30,000 = $100
based on the exchange price of points to FP/mLife gift card

    I haven't priced V/P, but they were something Like 57.500 = $100

CET also gave a crap ton of points away too...much of which I didn't take advantage of.

Good post. I was just talking to my wife about this the other day, how it looks like Grazie Gifts (which as you states if approx. 57k for $100) is significantly less generous than CET/Mlife. What I haven't taken the time to do is to figure out how 35k CET points compares to 57.5k with Grazie in terms of risk to get there. The whole theo calculation for Grazie makes it hard, but does anyone know? Once you hit Gold/Plat with Grazie I feel like points come faster there, but it might just be my perception since I spend most of my time at V/P.

Well, in the past 3 years I haven't had enough GGE (Venetian/Palazzo) points to make a comparison, but I believe that the dollar value to earn is about the same.

So wait, you use RCs (CET) and Comp Points (V/P) to participate in the GGWU? I've got almost 100,000 RCs that I haven't touched

Each chain/casino has its own event(s). Unfortunately they don't seem to be scheduled at the same time, so its difficult to attend both (at least when you're a 4+ hour flight away). We've only ever done Grazie Gifts at VP since that's our main spot. You get "Grazie Gift Points" that lines up with your slot points. You don't get points for room charges, etc (those points are only good for tier level). It is my understanding that with CET you get all your RC's which does encompass spending on property, etc.

We aren't high rollers, but last couple years have been able to get a few hundred bucks in gift cards to kick-start our holiday shopping, or some unique little items here and there. I think last year we got some Macys' gift cards, a thing or two of chocolates, a pullover, a keychain, a coffee mug, and maybe some other little thing.

For the true high rollers with millions of points they have had cars and all kinds of stupid stuff.

No, RCs and GGWU points are "cousins", but are not the same.

GGWU points are based on RCs earned in the calendar year. If you have RCs that you have been "saving" since 2015, those won't count.

VP is the week of Thanksgiving.

GGWU (CET) and HGS (mLife) are both held on the same weekends in November and December

    CET
    Dates: November 3, 2016 - November 7, 2016 (Thursday to Monday)
    Hours: To be advised
Place: Grand Ballroom, Paris Las Vegas

    Dates: November 30, 2016 - December 4, 2016 (Wednesday to Sunday)
    Hours: To be advised
    Place: Palace Ballroom, Caesars Palace

    mLife
"Join us in Las Vegas November 10th - 13th and December 1st – 4th to experience 2016’s largest shopping extravaganza! Here's how it works:"

Looks like the November events are not on the same weekend!!!! If you want to go to both (as I do) you have to pick the December event(s)

V/P points don't count for GGWU. V/P points count for the Grazie Gift Extravaganza (GGE)

If your 100,000 RCs were all earned in 2016, then yes, you have 100,000 (about $333 in FP) that you can use for the GGWU.

Log into the TR website to get your current balance.

Right, the GGWU points are totally separate, and usually you will actually have more in your account that the RC points you accumulated. You can check your balance here: https://www.caesars.com/content/cet-tr/en/promotions/ggwu-points.html You can be gifted points from another TR member if you are at all short.

These points are use them or loose them at the end of the year.

The Great Gift Wrap up was originally put into place to get gamblers to come to vegas at a time of year that was traditionally slow - the period between Thanksgiving and Christmas because in order to redeem them you actually physically had to travel to las vegas.

At the event itself, go to one of the checkout kiosks together.

Oh. So there isn't a way to be gifted points from a player who isn't attending?
