Every single Vegas trip I take I go through the same thing, I obsess over
"Which purse should I bring on the plane?"

Purse A...the red purse (And yes that is the "throw up purse" but all vomit has long since been removed) is shiny and gorgeous. It is big and beautiful. I can fit all my stuff in it. But it is heavy even without anything in it.

Purse B.. the green purse is hideous. I despise the colour, I feel embarrassed carrying such an ugly thing but it is super light and soft and squishy. I can literally fit anything in there. Bought one sweater too many???? No problem. Cram it in there. I once brought home the "money boa" in it. And it assumes any shape so there is no problem squishing into Spirit's measuring devices or cramming it in a full overhead bin or under the seat in front of me. It can even pass for a pillow in a pinch!

So....even though I get them out and study them every trip...9 out of ten times Ugly B wins.
It makes me sad..red purse does not get the attention it deserves.[IMG]

Have you considered a bigger "airport-airplane" purse and a smaller purse for around Vegas? I have a massive plain black travel purse that I stick my real purse into. I think I paid $10 for it a good 15 years ago and thing just won't die. I can throw it in the washer turned inside out, hang it to dry...ready to go.

Maybe ugly can be your travel purse and you use a smaller purse around town?

I think you should break up with Ugly B.

I mean, I know its hard to let go, and you keep going back to old faithful, and sure looks aren't everything but you deserve more than ugly B!

The red one is so pretty and shiny!

And to paraphrase that trendy book about Life Changing and Tidying Up or whatever it's called, if something doesn't inspire joy and float your boat anymore, you should get rid of it.

And lastly, sometimes I like a heavy, flashy purse when I'm out of my routine, so I don't forget the bleeping thing!

B does look like a nicer pillow though.

I'd buy myself purse C that would be big and squishy and yet not ugly. And I would carry a small purse D to hold my id, money and sunglasses during the day.

Any excuse to buy a new bag works for me.

I agree with STPFan that it's time for C and D purses. I got a new cross body bag for my last trip and loved it. I used my every day big bag for to and from Vegas travel.

I already fell in love with the misfit when you described it and green is my favorite color (actually my 2nd favorite color, cause my 1st favorite color is turquoise, but who's counting), so I vote for the beautiful green bag. It's lovely!

I actually take my smaller black purse and on the plane I have a cute backpack style purse that I put my other purse inside. I carry my make up, travel documents, snacks and everything in this one bookbag. Then when I get to my hotel, I take out my little black purse and that's what I carry around Vegas. I'm not a purse girl. I don't wish I had expensive designer ones or anything, but I do have my eye on a red Prada backpack! Lol It works really well as I hate having something big to carry around all of Vegas and how much do we really need once we get there besides our wallet?

    Oh hey...thanks for the responses!

I forgot to add that I always have a little cross body with me too, my "gambling purse" ...lol.
I pack it in my suitcase.
I would never haul one of those big boys around the casino.

Yes...the perfect solution would be to have a pretty squishy bag....but I need all my meager funds for Vegas..so it ain't happening.:(

Wow..I can't believe that someone actually LIKES that green bag...lol.:)

I have so many aches and pains now that forcing myself to carry something awkward and heavy just because it looks good isn't practical.

Likely old ugly will win again..lol.;)

Too bad Purse B wasn't the "throw-up bag." Your choice would have been easier.

Have you considered making old ugly prettier? Bedazzler? Glue gun applique's?

Good idea! Maybe just tie a nice scarf of your choosing to it? I always choose shine or glitter for Vegas of course [emoji92]

No it never occurred to me to make ugly bag pretty. Not sure it is possible.

I DO have several sparkly scarves though! It is a thought.....

I would try to dye that Green purse with RIT dye
    maybe black or charcoal grey.

    Don't take a heavy purse!

Hmmm...now that is another thing that never occurred to me.
Have not dyed anything in years and years.
    Wonder how permanent it is.

With my luck it would come off on me or something nasty like that.

Oh yeah, you can put lipstick on that pig for sure. Bedazzlers can fix anything.

I would go with the green & scarf it up! Comfort and functionality outweighs fashion in this instance.
