How does the Aliante casino compare to the Orleans casino? Just wondering how it compares to the Orleans casino in size, games offered and vibe. Thank you for your thoughts.

Gorgeous newer property! Aliante feels and looks like a smaller version of Red Rock. Its footprint seems smaller than Orleans. When we there were during the day last month it was subdued. Aliante has a lot of video poker, and a fair selection of slots. They had $5 BJ tables open at 3:2, not sure about their rules on doubling after splitting. Employees were friendly and said they were awaiting their inclusion in Bconnected.

DrLect, that sounds good! We like video poker and slots. My husband also enjoys craps and blackjack. Thanks for the information!

Now that it's a Boyd property I plan to visit and give them some play.

Aliante is a beautiful place to visit! It has great games and looks a little like red rock. The buffet is good value for money.

Only downside: drink service at the table games is very very slow. So if you plan to get a little buzzed, go somewhere else.
Other than that I think Aliante is a great casino.

What days & times do you hang out at Aliante, LinLV? I am usually in the pit from about 6AM-11AM on Tuesday-Wednesday when I go to Vegas. I get the feeling that only one cocktail waitress is working the whole casino at that time, but she is usually around with a new bottle of sparkling water for me before I finish the last one..

Let me think... One time we spent two nights at Aliante, so we played pretty much al through the day and evening with a few breaks. The other two times we were there we visited around 11 am - 3 pm I guess.
I get the feeling that when the CW takes your order, she has to get in her car, drive to the nearest casino to get the drinks, drive back, put them all on a tray and then come back to the tables... Drive a little faster, woman! ;)
The CW's are very friendly and nice, by the way!

Sounds like they only have one cocktail waitress working 24/7...during the graveyard shift that ends at 11AM it must be easier for the solitary cocktail waitress because the casino is so empty at that time..and I would expect that she gives more attention to the pit since we probably tip better there than at the 1 cent slot machines..
