    Trips to Las Vegas:
    50
Well it's time for another fun trip to Vegas, this time with just my Lady Friend. Our last trip was in March, which was mainly a family get-together with my elderly parents and my younger brother. LF & I didn't get to do as much gambling as usual on that trip, but it turned out to be the last time I saw my dad, as he passed away in June. It was a really fun trip, and the memories are now even more special.

For the first time in recent memory, we are not staying any nights downtown. We each have 2 free nights at the Orleans, and we are using myVegas rewards for 2 nights at the Excalibur for a change of pace. We will probably bus downtown on Saturday for the day/night. We have a rental car, and will be all over town running promos. We fly in on October 19, and leave the morning of the 25th. We have myVegas tix for Zumanity on Friday, but no other show plans.

So, as is my usual habit, I have put together my voluminous Pre-trip Notes and am posting them here for your enjoyment and information. Once we book a trip I start catching up on forum posts and trip reports, and list information that will be helpful for my trip, as well as promotion info, and new (to me) stuff. The list is by casino, beginning with downtown, then Strip, then off-Strip. Hopefully you will get some useful info from them.

Disclaimer: This is information I copied from casino websites, trip reports, forums, social media, and other less savory sources. I take no responsibility for the accuracy of the information, and the typos are NOT mine.

However, on the back of the menu is the Hot Cake Sandwich for $9.95, which consists of two pancakes, a side of bacon AND an egg. Just got back from a week DT. (ACG)

Cosmopolitan - If you are an all day coffee drinker you can buy a cup at VaBene in the morning and get free refills all day, just keep your cup and receipt. Chandelier Bar to try the Verbena, the bartender walked us through the whole thing. It was quite a unique experience. I'm not sure the flavor really changed for me after chewing on the flower anymore than having some lemon zest in my mouth would have, but the tingling was really neat. The drink was great on its own without the flower. The waitress told us we could just buy one addition buzz button flower instead of another whole drink. Perfect! The Verbena itself was $16-something and the extra buzz button was $2.16, not compable. The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas has unveiled its upgraded and relocated Race & Sports Book, which is powered by CG Technology. More than twice the size of the original, the new book features state-of-the-art LED video walls screens; multiple hi def TVs; lounge seating; private VIP viewing areas; mobile wagering; and betting windows open from 8:30 a.m. Mon.–Fri. and from 8 a.m. Sat./Sun. Gold Coast/Orleans shuttle: The Forum Shops Lower Valet located near the casino entrance on Jay Sarno Way between Frank Sinatra Dr and Las Vegas Blvd. There is a bar called Fizz right before you enter the shopping area from the Caesars casino. Take the glass door exit to the right of Fizz. Follow the white handrails and the pick up spot is right by the Planet Hollywood restaurant globe. It's in the parking lot - a very obscure place that doesn't look like a typical pick-up spot.
