This is one of the few segments of foodieville I've totally neglected but given my location in rural Mississippi the closest locale to experiment would be Atlanta. Since I'm traveling to one of the great culinary cities in the world come December I'm asking for tips where to go and what to order in Vegas. Don't want to spend over $35-$40 including a few brews and I don't like cooked fruits nor jellied foods

Carnegie deli. My shiksa wife won't eat gefilte fish.

    Cantors deli reopening soon.

Definitely, Carnegie deli. Stick with the corned beef...I find my people always dry out the turkey. This place is 'Jewish-style'. If you want kosher, google 'kosher las vegas chabad' and you'll get a list of restaurants that meet Orthodox Jewish dietary standards and serve all sorts of real meals.

Bagel Cafe on N Buffalo which is about 11 miles from the strip. True NY style joint! The Carnegie is still pretty good but since the "remodel" it ain't what it used to be.

I'm damn near 100% WASP, so I don't exactly have the bona fides...but the Reuben and Chicken Noodle Soup at Zoozacrackers (Wynn) are pretty damn tasty.
