Does anyone know an active Downtown Grand host? I know they don't seem to stay around long; there was one that was active on this board a while back but they are long gone.

    Thanks

I've never had any success with that. There is, or used to be, one lady formerly from GN. I've not had success trying to contact them. I suspect that casino needs to see you play first.

It a strange deal. I think they'd want me there, and I wouldn't mind trying then out, but my experience is they don't act like they want gamblers.

I was thinking about bringing a lady friend out, and I think DG would be a good place to bring her.

Anyway, I'll go where they at least make an attempt to act like they value my business.

My fourth quarter mailer had this on the back page. 001.00a.jpg

The resolution of the pic isn't what I had hoped, but the E-mail address is first initial, last name, then @downtowngrand.com[IMG]

I think Ms. Frank used to be at GN. Not 100% sure however. How did you get on tehir radar mrjames1229 if you wouldn't mind sharing?

I'd say there is about a 5 in 7 chance that any host you contact out of those on the mailer (I got the same one) won't be there in 4 months. No way does the Downtown Grand need 7 hosts.

Their Jekyll Hyde Jekyll Hyde Jekyll Hyde story will continue until someone who knows how to run a casino buys them. They've loosened and tightened the VP machines there so often that they sound like an accordion.

I stayed the first time during their "soft" opening. That got me on their radar. Since then I keep accepting their offers. I am not a huge player, but what keeps me in their sights is the $200 to $300 per night that I dump in slots on my way to bed (who put those shiny lights and displays on those slots? They are so distracting when you are just trying to walk through a casino...)

I know David Risdon is gone as of last Monday and I'm pretty sure that a couple of others left that day as well.

Anyone know of any current hosts at the Grand I could contact? My last host there was David Risdon, but he is gone. I have reached out to them through their Facebook page but haven't gotten a reply.
