I'm thinking about going to one of these in a few months. I mainly play vp and slots. Any preferences on the casinos? I'm not really worried about how smoky it is or how nice the place looks, more so the gambling and food. I have been to GVR so I would think Red Rock is similar in style.

RR has a lot more variety in restaurants and is a much larger property. I'd recommend you go to RR. I even prefer Suncoast which is right next to Rampart.

Yep, the JW Marriott is our go-to hotel in Vegas, but the casino (Rampart) is just a smoky, walkers-clogging-aisles grind joint. RRR's casino rocks it.

I agree with what others have said, although I do like Rampart's casino even though it is small and filled with a lot of older locals.

However, if you want decent offers, Rampart is freer with offers and comps than Red Rock, in my opinion.

An older model cougar with a cigarette dangling out of her mouth, a deep raspy voice and skin that you could mistake as cow hide. Enjoy your time and go to RR.

I prefer Rampart but then I'm old. I've never seen it smokey in there, however I'm usually there early in the day.

We just discovered Downtown Summerlin last night. It's adjacent to Redrock. An outdoor mall similar to Town Square. Very nice. Exit Redrock from the door next to panda in the food court and it's a5 minute walk.
