I'm staying one night at PH in December and wanted to see if there is a way to avoid going through the mall to check in. I hate going through there just to get to the casino.

No, you can go their normal front door, or carport/taxi dropoff area. Not sure where you are coming from since you did not mention it, but there is an entrance from the strip directly into the casino.

By the way, you have just won the grand prize for the shortest meaningless less descriptive thread title ever.

I always enter through the lobby. It is on the floor below the casino.

If you are arriving by taxi or uber you walk right into check-in area

Sorry for one person but I'm renting a car and parking there for the night. Thanks to the others for responding. I don't think there's a way around it but I figured I would ask. Should've given more details, I posted this in haste.

If you self-park, then I think you are stuck in the back and have to walk the semi-circle around the mall. You could consider valet.

Do the Valet. The check in is practically at your doorstep (the Valet and check in are on the bottom level). So then you can check in and get to your room as easy and quickly as possible.
I see no problem using the Valet overnight especially since you are a guest there.
Be sure to tip the Valet before and after check in/check out as a courtesy.

I'd rather trade my doomsday stash of Charmin Ultrastrong for 50 grit sandpaper than have to go through that mall to get to Planet Hollywood from the parking garage.
