Hello, first time posting here. I am from New York so I gamble mostly at CET in Atlantic City. However, it appears that I might be moving out west to LA or even Vegas so I am wondering if the other programs are better than Total Rewards.

I mostly play craps, $25 player at Atlantic City with 5x odds, but since the strip is all 3-4-5, it doesn't even make sense to play the pass line, so when I am in Vegas, I simply starts with $110 inside or even numbers or $100 outside bet and go from there. I know that in AC, I usually avg about $200-$300 bets (since I press up my bets) and would play around 6 to 12 hours depending on how's the table.

In terms of comp, CET gives me full comp to room to all of their properties (for Vegas I would stay 5 nights) and usually around $500 free play and the host usually will pick up my room charge tab (around $500).

I am only a Diamond 2 with CET so I don't think I am High Roller to get stuff from Mlife, but I wonder what is everyone's experience with it since I also plays at Borgata and I am a Black Label member as well. I know that at Borgata, I usually only play about 4 hours same betting and they usually comp me about $40 to $80 per session.

    Thanks in advance!

Just a small aside, but if you want to get away from 3-4-5 odds and fancy playing passline and/or comebets, Cromwell on strip has 100x odds

Yes, thank you @LondonCalling, that's where I played the most in Vegas anyway. The only problem is that usually only one table open and if it's cold, you got to move T_T

If you're playing enough to get $500 freeplay and $500 in back end at CET properties in Vegas, you'll be fine with MLife.

At least a couple of years ago, the perception was that MLife was better than CET for table-mostly players. I haven't played much tables at MGM properties in the last couple of years, and I'm phasing them out entirely, and I didn't play anywhere your level, so I don't know what kind of freeplay you can expect from MLife these days, but there are a couple of things I feel safe saying:

Marketing offers that you get from MLife that can be booked online will usually only be for 3 or 4 nights. But at your level, you should be able to get a host who will book your stays for longer than that, you shouldn't have any trouble getting 5 nights.

MLife eliminated Express Comps for table play (same as Rewards Credits at CET), but I would expect you to be able to get around the same amount comped back end at MLife vs CET. But some of it will be related to the comp value of the room you take - the comp value of a room at Aria or Bellagio might be higher than a similar quality room at say, Caesars Palace. Not always, but sometimes.

Thanks for the info Chuck. I was just ready to complain about Mlife. I played at Bellagio the other day, just small 4 hours section at craps. I earned 15,000 tier pts (not much, I know), but they gave me $1.43 express comp, what the hell does this mean??? I decided to play a bit there because of my Borgata Black Label, they giving me Mlife Gold and I decided to give it a small try (since I was doing bad at CP/Cromwell/Paris that day anyway). Even CET would give you about $5 to $10 comp with my 4 hours of play

Your play will get you 3 nights comped at all MLife properties.
The MLife offers come out as 3 nights but host will always extend based on your play.
As a table player your offers at MLife will more likely have resort credit vs free play.
I have had over a million tier points the last 5 years and get between $500 and $1000 resort credit every trip.
At Borgata,I get $200 match play every month but never Free Play or RC.
They will be fully absorbed into MLife next year. Your Borgata play should start showing up there at MLife casinos.

CET properties offer a worse craps game than any other company on the Strip. They pay less on horn bets and field bets...15 FOR 1 instead of 15 TO 1. 15 FOR 1 is really 14 TO 1. and only double on the 12 in the field instead of triple. Horrible game as these bets are already so underpaid.
The real question is whether TI, V/P, Cosmo or Wynn give out better comps than MGM. I think TI probably gives out the best comps for your mid-level craps play.

A few years ago, a few of us reverse calculated MLife tier credits and all came up with around 33 TCs per $1 of theo. So ballpark, 15,000 TCs would be around $400 in theo, or $100/hand (maybe a little more) for the 4 hours of craps. Does that sound about right? You'll start getting offers based off that eventually; they won't be as good as what you would get playing your normal level. If you had asked, you might have been able to get $100 or so comped; I don't really know how they handle insta-comps for table play at MLife when you're not staying there.

The $1.43 in Express Comps implies you did a little machine play. Around $400+ coin-in on slots or some multiple of that on VP. At the lowest tier level, MLife gives you one cent in the Express Comps bucket and one cent in a freeplay bucket for every $3 coin in on slots.

Hmm...interesting, my starting bet is already at least $100 (I do $100 outside or $110 inside/even numbers depending on the point). Sounds like someone wasn't updating my total bets as it goes. I actually don't play any slots/VP.

Interesting, I actually never played at TI before, how is their player card system works?

Then something doesn't add up. You don't earn express comps for table play in Vegas. Did you stay at the hotel?

No, I was at Caesars Palace. Maybe it's leftover from last year? Not sure (I didn't keep track of my Mlife).

@UKFanatic, actually, just realize this, so table play doesn't offer any comps in Mlife?????

Express comps and comps are 2 different things. Chuck explains how to earn them above.
Basically, express comps are a way to comp yourself instead of going to a host.

Okay, thanks. I guess the system is very different than the one used by Borgata. You simply get comp/express comp from your play that the player can comp themselves without a host. For a low/mid roller like myself, I doubt I will get a host from mlife, no?

Probably depends on which mlife property and whether you are betting $25 on the line or the $100+ on the inside that you described in your original post. If you're betting a hundred bucks a roll for hours a day, its certainly worth seeking out a host. It certainly won't hurt

One place where you can capitalize on points is MSS. The box man uses a touch screen to list your location at the table and all your bets and as the shooter rolls he puts in the resulting number and the computer gives 1 point per dollar bet for every roll of the dice. If you got $100 bet on the table and the shooter rolls 10 times you got 1000 points. They also offer 20x odds.

One thing to keep in mind is that CET calculates your theo with all chips on the table including odds. While places like Cosmo does not. Therefore if you play passline with odds or come bets with odds then the odds portion of your wager counts for nothing at non CET properties. But since you only make place bets (like me) then you have nothing to worry about.

Okay, thanks everybody. I guess I will seek out a host next time with Mlife and see. Yeah, CET is the only company I know that counts odds (which is weird) beside the fact that 3-4-5x odds is same as a place bet on the strip.

FWIW, I have been told in the past that the casinos that count the odds bet toward your average wager use a different craps formula to calculate your theo. Thus, the theo and comps generated ends up being about the same as those casinos that do not count the odds bet
