I will be in Vegas form 9-16 thru 9-20 staying at the Gold Coast and Downtown. I want to know what casinos offer Free Bet Blackjack and if BJ pays 3-2

Downtown, you can find it at the Plaza, Golden Gate & Golden Nugget...perhaps more....and yeah - they pay 3:2, DAS permitted...H17... dealer 22 is an automatic push for everyone.

Make sure to check for 3:2. A lot of the strip casinos that used to have 3:2 Freebet games have now gone 6:5... :(

Can anyone confirm if NYNY is still 3:2? It was the lone holdout in mid-summer.

I'll also be downtown next weekend and would like to pose this question: would a match play be better served on a 3:2 free bet table as opposed to a standard one? The thinking being that you will take any split or double so there is more opportunity vs basic strategy on a standard table.

    It's 6:5 now at NYNY. :(

(As well as Aria and MGM. Those were the only places I checked though).

MGM downgraded at the beginning of summer I believe. Luxor and Monte Carlo were always 6:5 when I went by. Read in another thread Cosmo had just downgraded as well. Back in January Venetian was already 6:5.

I prefer the game much more so I'll still play, I don't see the casinos bringing back 3:2 barring some miraculous drop in 6:5 standard blackjack as well.

Interesting thought. If the full value of the wager (including the match play value) is covered by the free double/free split, then yes, I would probably be playing it on free bet blackjack. I don't know if that is SOP though.

The value of free doubling and splitting gains the player over 6% equity (why the push 22 rule also exists), so if the match play value is reapplied to free splits and doubles, then it's worth it. But if they would only free double or free split the amount you initially paid for and you would have to cover the other half out of pocket, then it would not be worth it.

Be aware - most places won't let you use 'match plays' at FreeBet. It's typically only applicable for regular blackjack, pass/don't-pass at craps or even-money bets at roulette.

Thanks, found this out yesterday. It would be giving away too much money if you hit them for gold coins.

I believe Casino Royale still pays 3:2 on Freebet.

They had it at The D downtown at one time. Does anyone know if they still have it?

I was just at The D last Sunday and they have it. 3:2, looked like 6-8 decks no CSM.

So, I'm really not a gambler, but I'm going to be in Vegas tomorrow to cross something off my bucket list (eating at e by Jose Andres), and I was thinking, I love Freebet in myVegas, was wondering if it was a real thing, which it clearly is. My question, though, is, what's the cheapest I could find anyone doing it on the strip? I'd love to try my hand at it with real money, but not a lot of real money. Thanks!

Since the game is 6:5 everywhere now on the strip, I would assume some casinos have it for $10 minimums, Casino Royale might have it for $5.

Thanks! I'll check Casino Royale then - $10 is a bit spendy for me, but $5 sounds reasonable. Still out of my comfort zone, but reasonable. :)

I confirmed yesterday: Casino Royale *does* have a couple $5 freebet tables. I was there yesterday - me and my wife each blew 40 bucks, didn't get a single freebet between us. :(

Oh well. So much for my attempt at gambling real money. I'll stick to shows and food (especially food.)
