    This thread reminds me... When I was there month ago there was a middle age blonde heavier set lady singing Ave Maria over and over, by strip cross roads as I recall she couldn't speak straight but singing her lungs out.... I gave her few dollars not because she was a good singer but at least she was trying to entertain not like those losers begging for money so they can go buy beers (their signs says all) I hope she is okay,,,,,, has anyone seen her?

    Nothing. I gave a guy in a wheelchair, blind in one eye, who said he was a Vietnam vet $5 and we said a prayer together. This was on Fremont. Whether he was or not doesn't really matter. The sentiment was real and it made me feel good.

    I don't have a budgeted amount, but when the mood strikes me I share. It could be somebody in a circle or between The Cal and FSE.

    Don't et anything aside. I have given some money after I have a winning session, the more creative the better chance.

    The first trip to Vegas was interesting with the "homeless" saw one lady that had a sign one day for help with her four kids the next day she had a new sign and only three kids.

    I do - when the mood strikes me. Especially if they are doing something to entertain me, i.e., playing a guitar, singing - whatever.

    No cash. In the trunk of my car, I have two cans of pasta and two cans of dog food. I even have plastic utensils.

    I do NOT give money to panhandlers.

    A few on FSE that have some talent. Sinatra era singer, sax guy, etc. Nothing for the no talent or beggars. Especially the girl that has been dying of cancer forever, or the pregnant one that never had the baby in years

    LOL, that would make a great Most Interesting Man in the World commercial! :)

    I know this is old hat now, but it was fairly novel when I took this shot, about 10 years ago outside of HRH. I tipped him a buck (you'll notice he's holding it), I guess for being novel at the time. Notice the guy in the convertible giving me the thumbs up sign. :) Also look at the shirt. Is this guy a timeshare salesman? {meow!}

    None. I don't handle cash on the street and I especially don't want to be seen handling cash on the street.

    The more down and out the person, the higher the odds that the money will go to drugs.

    Also I never, ever give to disabled veterans. A 100% disabled veteran receives $3,000 a month from the government.
