I does amaze me what some folks wear in Vegas. I mean it's not like they rolled out of bed it's all they could find to wear. They packed that shit to wear in Vegas.

Lets test this dress code theory.

Women will not be able to wear open toed shoes.

Thats should put an end to the discussion.

Really don't mind what others wear but don't feel comfortable myself sitting at BJ table with shorts and T-Shirt.

Each to their own but I tend to make an effort especially at night.

I remember when Bellagio was about to open and there were a number of rumors circulating. One was that they would have security guards at the entrances to prevent people who weren't dressed appropriately from entering. There was quite the uproar about that on VMB, but most Vegas veterans said that if your money was green, you could come into the casino. I was there a few times in 1998 & 1999 and never saw anyone turned away for what they were wearing. I did see strollers turned away a couple times at the entrance by the shops, but even that didn't last too long.

I look at the permissive dress codes in Vegas the same way I look at the permissive smoking rules. Sure, I'd rather not have to look at people in jorts and wife-beaters (or deal with the stench of cigarette - and especially cigar - smoke). But I think the "anything goes" vibe that we (or at least many of us) enjoy so much about Vegas would suffer considerably if casinos pulled in the reins. And I think that would hamper my enjoyment more than the slobs or the smoke.

Im with the NO crowd. Although, at the end of the day people are pretty much dressed presentable- especially at night. I usually stay at Aria or Bellagio.

Seems like they were enforcing their Under 21 policy. If Bellagio actually enforced this, it might actually be a pretty chill place to.

Let me disabuse you of that notion. DONE! *peruses shoe rack* :peace:

I have some nostalgia for a better dress code as well but that's my choice. If someone doesn't want to dress up, that's their choice.

It's cool to see other folks dressed to the nines, but I'm normally dressed to the threes, maybe fours tops!

That is until I get a VMB shirt. Then I'll be up to level 5 or 6 for sure!

I once wore a suit and tie in the casino. At least three different people asked me questions, assuming I worked there

They will turn you away at the JACK in CLE. But mostly for offensive t-shirts and you actually have to wear your pants. Check points at all entrances. Purse check also. I like the urban setting.

Not only am I a no, but I also thinks this goes exactly against the grain of how society is heading. It's akin to mandating landline phones.

I love the attire during EDC in June.

Cute girls in bikinis and leg warmers stumbling into the casino at 5AM.

    Dress code?? Why??

    You don't like it?? Don't look . . .
