I am currently in Encore at the moment. Sign went up a few hours ago. Buffet/slot tourney promo runs until September 25th! When I called a couple of weeks ago a red card person said the promo was dark until mid September but it is indeed back. Enjoy!
I have a red card from Wynn and I don't gamble much there but i do go to the shows and dinner there. I'm taking a Newbie with me before 9/25. What does that mean to both if us? Thanks for your help.
So sorry everyone. Slot tourney is back but it does NOT include the 2 comped buffets. Just the tourney. You need to earn 500 points in one day and if you do you can enter the tourney. If the mods can correct my title that would be appreciated. Slot tourney is back but it does not include buffets.
Nice!! i was there last december and got in the tourny with 2 passes, but they wouldn't work while i was there over new years (black out dates) so they said they put it on my account for next visit. Well i'm staying there in sept under the $300 FP, free 2 nights sun-thurs with 2 buffet lunches...so we will see if I actually have 4 or if they will just count these 2 newest ones!.
That's disappointing but glad to know now instead of finding out on the spot. I suppose this will be the new "normal" for this deal.
Thanks mods for correcting. Nice update is that that I CAME IN FIRST PLACE ON MONDAY, so got 1500 in free play and 2 showstoppers tickets worth close to 30play that I gave to my nieces. If you are playing a wynncore anyway I think the promo is a must do. It doesn't cost you anything, it's fun, and there are 9 prizes for the day plus three prizes for each session, so a lot of prizes. Day three/Wednesday I got second place in my session for 75 in free play and turned that into 300. Good luck everyone!
Yes, sorry. I meant to say Wynncore. You can earn 500 points at either property. The tournament registration is at the Encore Red Card desk and the tournament itself is just a few feet away.
Update on this. For new Red Card signups, there is a promo where if you earn ~700 points (forgot exact amount), you get 2 free buffet passes good for B,L or D. If you then sign up for the free tourney, and earn the required 500 points in addition to the previous points, you'll get another 2 buffet passes. Paid for 2 nights of buffet dinners for us. Also, 500 points is easy to accrue. Betting $3 spin on hot shots, took me 25 minutes....
So is the promo back now with the buffets for existing players? It was the tourney only when I was there in August. I'll be back in mid-October for 4 days. If the buffets are back for existing Red Card players that would be great.
The Red Card lady told us it was for new signups only. It's worth asking though in case they change it up.
We played every day we were there. My wife won 3rd one day for $600 in FP total. We did it last Sept too and both won second place on two different days for $1100 in FP. It's fun and only takes a few minutes of your time (and 500 points accumulated that day by 3PM). They said they'd be doing it thru 9/25
In April, I had a 9 day trip in Vegas and I participated in this slot tournament nearly every day. I came in twice two time during the week for a payout of $1075 freeplay twice. This was also a solo trip so I ended up with way too many free buffets that was left unused. LOL. So I went back couple weeks ago again with a 9 day trip (Aug 27-Sept6th) and I was dissapointed that the buffets were not included And I didn't place at all during the whole week. Double Note: For existing players, it takes about 1500 points to get a free buffet. If you come in April and come back in Aug...you start from scratch and have to accumulate 1500 more points. Sometimes they give you two buffets if you have a significant other but don't quote me on this. It takes about 5000 points to get a free room. So both in April and Aug, I played in Wynn for about 4000 points each (8000 points total). I called a host to see what type of comp deals I could get for slow time in Dec and they told me they could give me 1 free night for purchase of two nights. Yikes. Are free room Comps at Wynn really this difficult to get?
Same with me....I think I was 18th, 20th, 18th, 15th and 6th. It's all about how many balloons you get to pop, in particular the red, white and blue ones that are worth 5000 points. Just like gambling it's all chance.
