I have a pretty complete modern Vegas dollar chip collection. i am missing a couple (sls, Cromwell, linq was still quad when I was there)

What I really want to know is how everyone else displays their chips for those that keep them.

I currently have them in a frame but want to do something else. Looking for ideas.

i have a nice collection of chips, over 500 different chips...some i bought on eBay, some i personally collected..i put them in frames. i bought frames from the gamblers general store based out of vegas. i have frames that hold 55 chips. They also have each suit as a frame...spades clubs hearts and diamonds. they will ship to to you. There are also many frames on ebay and amazon. i like what you have done with your chips!

These are the chips I keep at home. Trying to figure out a fun way to display them. I've got an entire lock box at the bank full of chips from the 50s-80s that are way too valuable to keep at home.

I just started last time out so my collection is small. A few places wouldn't sell the $1 chips so I was at places that I didn't get any from. I think this is a coin display case, there is a little track to set them in.

I bought a pack of circular self-adhesive magnets from eBay and have stuck my $1 chip collection onto the kitchen fridge door.

next time, go to the tables, buy in for $10-$20 in $5 chips, tell the dealer to break one down into $1s for drink tip, then place one chip in your pocket and go cash the rest out

FYI the above works for gettin chips from
Places that won't give them to you at the cage. I don't like inconveniencing the game and dealer so I offer a cocktail waitress or cigarette chic two bucks cash for a chip out of her tip stash. Never had one say no

Golden gate was the hardest one for me a few years back. Their policy may have changed but most of my chips have been gotten honestly whole gambling. Golden gate had dollar coins for bj payouts on the 5 buck tables. Went to cage and was denied. Only place that used them was the craps table so even some of the waitresses didn't have any.

I started out years ago when I inadvertently had some chips in my pocket when I returned home. I started collecting a chip from every place I went. When some of those casinos closed I decided to also collect chips from closed casinos. There's a great chip website that lists virtually every chip issued (I don't have it bookmarked at work). From time to time I'll go on Ebay and buy a few chips. Casinos aren't dumb, when chip collecting started taking off they started offering a lot of special chips. There were a ton of commemorative chips around 2000. TONS of them. And many other commemorative chips not related to Y2K. I have a lot of them but those are always $5 and up and I like to stick to $1 chips to save cash :)

Funny, my wife also got me one for Christmas - this one.

The top row I use for international, the second row is outside of Vegas and the bottom two rows are Vegas.

I've outgrown it over the past few years so I'm looking for something new. I have 28 chips to add just sitting in stacks.
