Just completed a trip last week. Does anyone have the post trip depression along with the urge to go back??? Hopefully this is normal. Past trip we brought our kids for the first time. We were not able to enjoy LV like usual until kids were sleeping at night. Hopefully I'm not the only one who feels this!!!

Eh, I'm usually actually pretty happy to be home by the end of 4 or 5 days. The exhaustion level kicks in on that last fly-home day and I'm always happy to feel the 40 degree temp drop and fog when I get home.

Plus I always know there's a another trip about 3 months out to obsess over!

Wife wants to go to Louisiana casino's for our next trip in January (10 year anniversary). Major downer. It's a 2.5 hr drive from Houston so that's the appeal for her. That's probably where the withdrawal is coming from!! Yes it felt great to be home as well!!

It's odd. We're ready to head home about day four, having done everything we set out to do.
Then, a couple of weeks later, the urge to go back. I don't know what it is about Vegas, but
it's honestly the only recurring vacay destination we have. We have great vacations to other
spots, but we always set aside a little time for Vegas.

we usually stay 4 or 5 days. by the 5th day i'm ready to be home.
The next day after we get home, i'm ready to go again (which explains the new countdown timer)

By the 5th day, I am ready to go home, but after a few weeks of being home I feel the urge to start planning another trip. Half the fun is planning out your next trip and the anticipation and building excitement of that trip. It gives you something to look forward to and to get you through the daily grind.

You are definitely not the only one! I suffer terribly from post Vegas blues, I know everyone says it but the only real way to make it easier for me is to book the next trip, after this summers trip, I was back a couple of weeks and booked two trips next year, a solo trip and another family trip. So the inner Vegas balance is restored! :)

I only have the post-trip depression while I'm packing the night before leaving and then between the time I get in the cab and when I board the plane. Once I'm home I'm fine because I'm planning the next one.

When I get off the plane that exhilarating "I'm in Vegas!" feeling envelopes me. I see the post-trip blues on the faces of those leaving as I arrive. I think to myself that that'll be me in a few days. Sure enough, the roles get reversed as I play an obligatory hundo in the McCarran slots while waiting for my departing flight. The post trip depression. The cure? Plan the next trip.

You still have time to change her mind!

Ironically we spent our anniversary driving to Tunica this year. My gf definitely wasn't considering Vegas for July 28th because neither of us wanted to bake walking the strip. We were already scheming Vegas for her upcoming birthday back then, where it's just bearable weather as you can see from the countdown clock. :)

Unfortunately so true. I have to travel a long way, so I only go ones a year and therefore as long as possible. But even after 3 weeks of Vegas, I fall into a deep post trip depression. So bad that I even cannot go to VMB anymore, cause it will just increase the sadness. The worst thing about going ones a year is that I have to wait a full year (minus 3 weeks) before I can go again. I am considering to go twice a year as of 2017 and then 12 days each trip.

This happens to me every single time. I might as well break down and move out there.

I'm usually pretty worn out by the time I get home from a Vegas trip. I need a break and a lot of sleep. :) But about a week later, I start to think about the things I didn't have time to do or things I want to go back and see again and the post-Vegas depression sets in. I agree with others, the only cure is to plan another trip!

I've never seen the drop-off at LAS ticketing clearly because of the blur of trying to look through my tears.
Leaving LV is the worst. When I wake up on the descent into MSP I'm a little bit better. Posting my TR upon my return is a healing experience...

Always. Even if I am coming home even - or luckily - more money than I left with. However, I always fight it by planning the next one, and of course coming to see you good folks here at VMB. I dread the last/packing day, I always sleep like shit the night before, and it's just damn near intolerable.

My worse day is the day we are leaving. We always get an afternoon flight out so we don't have to get up early and have time to enjoy coffee and gambling that last day but it's also a bit of a double edged sword as it's always a little depressing, knowing that we have to leave around 1 and everybody else is scurrying around going the pool, gambling, laughing and in general just having "Vegas" fun.....just like we were doing the previous 5 days. I can honestly say the only time I was "Vegas-ed out" was about 10 years ago when we did a 10 night trip....3 at Wynn, then 4 at the Mirage and then 3 at Bellagio. By the time we got to Bellagio, the Vegas magic had worn off. I don't recall why I planned them in that order but Bellagio has never been my favorite hotel and Wynncore is definitely my favorite so I might have felt different if I'd have put Wynn at the end. Either way....I hate leaving Vegas. In fact, as morbid as it sounds....my dream end to this fabulous life on earth would be to make it to my late 80's and have the big one while enjoying a cocktail, gambling, and listening to some Frank or Dino at the Encore. Hey.....you have to "go" somewhere right? Better than sitting in some nursing home in your depends:poke:

I get my flight as LATE as possible. On that last day, I try to get up at 8am, get dressed, pack ALL my shit up, and put it with the bell captain in a strategic place.
I have "Clear" at the airport, so for a 6pm flight, I leave the hotel at 5:10/5:15pm. Point being, I squeeze all the fun out of the last day.
