I'm based outta MBay for this one, but excited that I advanced to the $100,000 cash finale at Mirage later today! Anyone else on this board off to the finale? (there are still the wild card drawings today at 2pm)

Hi sorry for not responding earlier. I sucked. There were 115? in the finale. It is a good tournament. Just not my night. Damn. One thing I noticed there were like 500 people there...once they heard there was food and booze people came from the casinos to eat..I haven't checked yet but think my score only got me $250 fp for being in the finale. I got only $500 fp for the MBay part. (long gone last night)..Was supposed to go watch the fight last night just in the HL table area but chose to throw several more thousands into a couple of machines I chase..Oh well. If I don't do the MBay cruise this year I'm heading to the $500 buy in at Bellagio in October. Love the B buy ins.

 

I was in Mandalay Bay Tournament Group C. It was my first time and it was so fun and exciting. Didn't realize 10 minutes of button mashing was so painful. HAHA. Anyways I placed 6th so got 250 in free play which lasted less than 10 minute

 

Hah! I was in tournament C too! My $500 fp didn't last long either. I still have the $250 from the finale. I didn't leave the room today. Will blow it before I leave tomorrow.

 

@Jakester you probably were there watching tournament B while waiting. There were two Karen's in that one and both getting a lot of waves, and then there was Karen's sister. I was the only Karen in tournament C. I told Byron I want to hear my name as many times as you just called out theirs! (thus, he likes to call Karen Karen Karen). I think he put in an extra few. All fun. On my way down now for breakfast, spa, facial and play my fp.

 

That's so funny I totally remember "Karen Karen Karen". The announcer had an awesome voice. Good luck.

 

Byron pretty well emcee's all our MB tournaments. I've been staying there since 03 but remember only hosted since 04 or 05. Known Byron long time now. Glad you had a good time. MB puts on a good tourney.
