At the airport flight boards in a hour. While I love getting to Vegas early in the morning I can never sleep the night before. Think I got 2 hours

First visit this year I held my own in Vegas and got a lot of play for my bankroll. Second trip a few months later...holy hell I got my ass kicked! Didn't matter what I played every game ate my money and I boarded the plane home saying that's it I'm done with Vegas

Well it look kind of eats at you and I didn't want to feel so shitty about a place I love. So here I am one more time. Change in attitude and change in strategy and we will see how this all plays out

How wonderful my go room was ready. Its a thousand times better than the fab room I was in last time. Lovely view that overlooks the pool. Last time I had a view of the strip but it had a wrap on the windows which made me feel like I had a film over my eyes.

So I fell of the grid for awhile...its Vegas what can I say [emoji6]

The excitement/anticipation gets to me the night/nights before each trip, too. Sad to say I get the best sleep on the 3 hr. plane ride there!
Thanks for sharing your trip and best wishes for continued good times!

I arrived in Vegas early Monday morning. By the time I reached the Flamingo it was 7:30am. I took a chance and checked to see if my room might be ready. I had booked a go room with a strip view. Earlier this year I stayed at the Flamingo in a fab deluxe room that was just god awful and believe me when I say I'm not picky. The furniture was beat to hell, the bathtub dripped continuously and the windows were covered in the Donny and Marie wrap. That room was facing the strip directly across from Caesars but with the wrap on the windows I hated looking out. It made me feel like I had a film on my eyes. Anyway....The Go room this time was wonderful and if I was willing not to have a strip view they had a room ready. I didn't care if I faced the strip or the pool as long as I didn't have that dam wrap on the window. They placed me on the 26th floor, close to the elevators with a view of the pool. Funny story about the drapes in the room. The curtains were closed when I entered and I tried to open them. I looked for a cord or a wand or something to pull back the drapes. Couldn't figure it out, even tried to physically pull them open..no luck. WTH?? Fine whatever I'll unpack and figure it out later. My husband is no longer able to travel with me as he has many health issues but I always take a picture of us taken during our last Vegas trip together in 2015 and in that way I feel he is still in vegas with me. I placed the picture next to the bed and when I did that right above the picture was a switch to open and close the drapes!!! (you can see the picture and the switch right above it in the picture that shows the bed)

Good choice on room direction! We were also 26th floor near the elevator last trip, but we were facing Drais. That was loud until they closed and we asked for a quiet room!
