EDIT: Meant to say HIT in Monte Carlo.

    Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone bought this Reward yet? It's only 21k for a whiskey tasting from "around the globe". Don't get me wrong, I don't expect there to be a Yamazaki , Glenfiddich or Macallan 12 or 18. Heck, I'd be surprised if they even give us anything aged 12 years.

According to my "research" though, I found that some people who's tried this deal in the past prior to the change to the new lounge "HEX" got like a 5 flight with something as good as Glenfiddich 12 year. Does that still apply to this deal, is it even worth it? I enjoy my whiskey and would love to try this and I'm not snobbish enough to consider myself aficionado. Hell, even at 21k LP it's still free alcohol on the strip. Win-win.

I tried this reward in May this year and was pleasantly surprised. I can't remember the exact details but I believe you get to choose 4 (or maybe 5) different whiskeys. The bartender was really nice and seemed knowledgeable. My friend and I were the only ones there at first so the bartender spent a lot of time giving us info on the choices and recommending his favorites. I wished I'd kept track of the selection and choices! We enjoyed them all. I think I tipped him $20. Just saw this reward show up again in MyVegas so I'm going to try to get it again for our November trip. Good luck!

Did you have to get dressed up? I was planning to go on Wednesday night when I'm flying in and staying at Aria (comped via MyVegas). Will probably be there at around 1030 or 11ish. I wasn't planning on going hard the night I fly in and casually walk around the middle of strip drinking and casino hopping because next morning I'm moving over to the Wynn and will be spending most of my time there unless friends want to go clubbing around the middle would be the only time we wander there.

    not a problem.

I'm gonna redeem the reward in a couple of weeks, so I'll definitely take some pics and post some details when I get back.

Looks like you'll be there before me. Looking forward to your report on this. I already redeemed it anyways. Not much else to spend LP on. Saw most of the shows already offered that I was interested in past visits plus the family attraction. Sounds like this one might be a great value after what I read in the post by the other guy.

I have used this reward three times. I am a Bud Light drinker, so a discriminating palate i do not have, but the bartender is very knowlegable about the different spirits and he is more than happy to guide you through the offerings. You receive 4 tastings of either Single Malt Scotch or Whiskey or Burbon or Rye. The menu has 5-8 choices for each variety. I know brands like Jack Daniels, Bullit, Makers Mark, Glenfiddich and I think Macallan 12 year were included, I wish i could remember all of the bottles offered....but again I'm a Bud Light guy and dont remember. The Hit louge is casual and doesn't open until 5pm Sun-Thu, 2pm Fri and Sat. Hope this helps.

Be advised...if you're going to do this yourself, it's no joke.

I had already been drinking during the day, and I expected to waltz in here and polish off a couple quick shots and be on my way. Nope. They give you 4 full, no BS shots of quality whiskey of your choosing. It pretty well knocked my socks off. I would recommend bringing a fellow whiskey drinker to help you with it or being prepared to take your time.

GREAT value for LP's on this one.

Might be why they changed it from 4 to 3 :haha:

This one is on my short list to do again. Highly enjoyable

We were there in the early afternoon and were dressed very casual. I think I was wearing shorts and a golf shirt. Not sure what it's like later in the evening but I'd say casual would work anytime. It's a nice place but literally right off the casino floor- not a club atmosphere or anything like that. Hope this helps- sorry I can't remember more details.

Well we'll be going in it pretty sober since we'll just be landing and going to check into Aria and walking on over to get the drinks.
Going with my GF who'll also be cashing in on this. Who doesn't really drink but does like to taste different whiskey with me.
Do you think it'll be an issue if we have two people cashing it at once?

No issue. We had 3 people cash in at once. Probably made it easier for the bartender to only explain everything just once.

I did this last week and last December. As far as I know, the reward has always said its for 3 and the redemption at the bar has always been 4. You can see a decent portion of the menu in the photo. This photo is from 8/15 so definitely recent.

One of my favorite rewards, but I'm a lightweight so I don't finish them all.

The Oban 14 is my favorite I've tried (I had it both times), bought a bottle yesterday actually! image.jpeg

Wow. That looks wonderful. I love Macallan 12 and Glenfiddich.

Do you guys think the Monte Carlo renovation will effect this reward in November? I heard they're doing a full renovation starting September.

WillyWilkes, do you recall what the Irish Whiskeys were, other than a Jameson that I see in your picture? Big fan of them (Red Breast, Green Spot and Writers Tears being my faves) and wondered about options. Thanks for the info

I had to go back and look at the picture I had from when I had this reward to see if I had info on the Irish Whiskey. While I didn't get a pic of that part of the mat, low and behold it looks very similar to that picture above.

I finished all of mine though :drunk:

Unfortunately I don't recall, I liked the Oban so much the first time that I knew I wanted to do all of the scotch to compare them so I barely looked at the menu. I tried to check my photos from December but I didn't get any of the menu then.

I was curious so did a google image search and still found no answer but saw that at one point it used to be Tennessee whisky in that box instead of Irish- no clue when they made the change or how often the menu changes in general.
